-Alyssa Moore-
It was finally the end of the week, I'll be leaving LA tonight. By now, I was even more confused than before. I didn't know who I loved. Was it Shawn or Hayes? If only I hadn't gone to LA with mom. I just hope I'm able to figure everything out before I see Hayes again. I promised him I'd have an answer.
"Hey, uh, Lys?" Shawn said and came into the room I was staying in.
"Yeah?" I asked and looked up from what I was doing.
"Was that you?" Shawn asked and I glanced at him as if to ask what he was talking about. "I mean.. Was that you singing?"
"Oh. Uh, yeah. I'm sorry.. I'll try to be a little quieter." I said shyly and looked down at the guitar I was holding.
"Don't worry about it. You have a beautiful voice. Uh, is that my guitar?" He asked.
"Oh, yeah. I'm sorry. Here, I'll just-"
"Don't worry about it. Would you mind playing a song for me?" He said and leaned on the doorway.
"I, uh.."
"Please?" He said and I sighed.
"Alright." I said and took in a deep breath before starting to play one of my favorite songs, and singing it. It was Not The Only One by Sam Smith.
"Wow. Your voice is amazing. I would've never known that you would sound that amazing." Shawn said after I finished.
"Eh, not many people know I'm into my music. Mainly just my mother. Not even my bo-" That was when I caught myself. I almost called Hayes my boyfriend. This is it. I love Hayes. I. Love. Hayes. "Not even my boyfriend knows that I'm into music." I continued with a smile.
"Boyfriend?" Shawn said, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah. I have a boyfriend back in North Carolina. He's so amazing." I said and put the guitar away.
"Wow, you do? I'm actually not surprised. I mean.. You are truly amazing. Whoever the guy is, he's very lucky."
Really, Shawn?! Just when I thought I had it all figured out, BAM! You confuse me again. I guess it was too late to say differently though. Maybe this was just fate working its magic.
"Yeah. Actually, I'm lucky to have him. To be completely honest, I was a wreck before I met him. But now I have him, and I love him so much." I said and Shawn smiled.
"Well, I'm glad you're happy, Lys." Shawn said.
"Um, actually, would you uh, would you mind calling me something else? Hayes is pretty much the only person that calls me Lys." I said shyly and he widened his eyes a bit.
"Hayes?" He said.
"Yes, his name is Hayes." I said.
"Hayes Grier?" He questioned.
"Yeah, actually. Do you know him?" I asked.
"Yeah, I do. He's one of my.. friends." Shawn explained.
"Oh, he is?" I asked.
"He is. Well, anyway, I guess we should get going. You need to meet up with your mom so you two can go back to Carolina." Shawn said.
-later, at the airport-
"Listen, I know we were supposed to go back today, but I can't. I have to stay one more day." Mom said over the phone.
"Mom, that's not fair. I was looking forward to seeing Hayes in the morning." I said with a sigh.
"I can't let you fly by yourself, Alyssa." Mom said and I looked down.
"But, mom. I-"
"Hey, Mrs Moore. I can get mom and we can fly with her. She really badly wants to see her boyfriend." Shawn said after grabbing my phone.
After a while, Shawn gave my phone back to me.
"Looks like we're going to Carolina." Shawn said and I smiled before hugging him.
"Thank you." I said happily.
I quickly sent Hayes a text, letting him know that I'd absolutely love to be his girlfriend, and that I'd see him tomorrow morning.
