Pulling up in my driveway later, was a wake up call that a new chapter of my life had now begun. Thoughts galore were racing through my head as I unstrapped Aaliyah (who immediately after, was taken away by Jessica) and got out of the car.
How do I raise a child? Where is she going to school? I have to get a job, but how? Will I have to drop out of school?
I unlocked the door as I thought about having to get up in middle of the night to feed and change her. I wouldn't get any sleep with all the crying I would have to endure.
I moaned.
"We gotta go baby shopping," I said, flopping down on the couch, "we need a baby bag, some bottles, diapers-""You are not going anywhere." Jessica interrupted, "What you're gonna do is give me your card-"
"Because I'm filthy rich," I whispered and smirked to myself.
"And I will get everything you need. Got it?"
"My wallet's over there, in my backpack," I said pointing to the door where my school bag sat.
She walked over to it and rummaged through it until she found it. I looked over at Aaliyah who was still peacefully sleeping in her car seat.
She's always sleeping, I thought, wake up and play.
"Alright, I'll see you in a bit." Jessica shut the door behind her and took off.
I pulled out my phone from my back pocket and tried to turn the screen on. When it wouldn't turn on, I dropped it on the floor beside me and decided I'd take a nap.

I woke up to the sound of Jessica parading through the house, overexcited about something I didn't think I cared about."O-m-g Abby wake up. You won't believe what just happened me."
I moaned as she sat down in the one seater couch next to me, who was sprawled out on the bigger couch. I looked over at Aaliyah who was still sleeping.
"I met this guy at the mall and he was soooo cute!"
Her emphasis on the cute almost gave me a headache."What's his name?" I mumbled, staring up at the ceiling.
She was quiet for a bit but then answered with, "I don't remember...but he was gorgeous. I'm certain he was like a Greek God in the past life, like Zeus or something..."
I rolled my eyes.
"I was walking in the mall with the shopping bags on my arms and I was texting my mom cause like, I wanted to know what the plan was for dinner- cause I low-key just want a large deep dish pizza or something -and I bump into this human sized rock." Her eyes were so wide as she modelled the size of the 'human sized rock' so dramatically, "I apologized so fast but then I looked at his face and was like...in love. You don't even understand..."What I really didn't understand was how girlie this girl got when she saw a cute guy. She was usually so chill and quiet and monotone; never really saying much.
"Anyways so he was like, it's okay we both weren't looking where we were going and I was like, so what are you shopping for? And he was like, I'm not really shopping. I'm just chilling with my friends. So I turn around and, omg, Abby there were three more gods standing there and one of them was like, 'dude just get her number and let's go!'"
"Did you get it?" I asked now interested.
"No, he was like, 'nice to meet you..' And I told him my name and then he said, nice to meet you Jessica. I'm so and so and then walked off after I said hi and that was it."
I sat up straight on the couch and fixed my eyes on her. "You woke me up to tell me that you met a cute guy and you didn't remember his name or get any contact information?"
She took in my words. "Yea, I guess."
We sat in silence as I looked at her wondering whether or not I should strangle her or just simply punch her in the throat. She seemed to have been reading my mind because she looked a little nervous.
