It's been three weeks since the party and Aiden hadn't stopped texting me. I didn't answer him one word; I was so mad. Just the fact that he promised he would stay away from her and he broke that promise was what upset me. I would've let it go if he didn't tell me to say for him to stay away from her but he told me to because he wanted to make that promise to me and he broke it, not even able to explain himself.

I kissed my teeth and locked my phone after ignoring his new message of the day.

Abby I'm sorry.

Sorry doesn't change what happened, I thought.

I then, got a text from Perry and instantly answered.

Abs he said.

Heyy 😁

How are you?

Feeling a bit better. I haven't puked at all so far today so that's a plus

Ahaha that's good. Did you go to the doctor to get checked out?

No not yet

Why not?

I'm afraid I'll be pregnant loool I joked.

Don't kill me. But like still you've been sick for almost three weeks and ur missing a lot of school. It could be dangerous

I think I just have meat poisoning lool

Haha well whatever it is, it needs to go away cause I miss seeing you at school 😜

Aaaw stooop lool don't worry I'll get better

You better get better

I had been out of school a lot since the party. The Monday after, I went and was fine until I felt nauseous and puked at lunch and was sent home for three days. I puked on those three days too, at least once. On the Friday, I went back because I missed Perry and we had become good friends really fast. You know those new feelings you get when you make a new friend, always wanting to be with them? So I went to school, and everything was great. Nothing went wrong. Perry gave me his number and I gave him mine. The weekend came and went, and it was Monday...then Tuesday, then Wednesday and I got really sick and apparently passed out because I woke up in the hospital. Perry was there and so were my other siblings. Eli didn't allow the doctors to do a diagnostic on me until he got to the hospital but even after he got there, he just wanted me discharged. My parents weren't there, but I didn't even care. That reminded me; I had to call Celia.

After that incident, Eli put me on bed rest so I hadn't been to school for four days straight. I'd started feeling better though and I didn't even need to take my Pepto Bismol or Gravel. Perry and I spoke everyday on the phone and texting during school hours. I really liked having someone new in my life to make me feel better and I began to question leaving. Maybe I didn't need to call Celia after all.

I stayed in my bed, literally, all day unless I had to use the washroom or eat, and trust me, I was hungry. August was going to have a lot of garbage to take out.

Time went by really fast; before I knew it, I heard someone come through the door.

"Abigail?" They said.

I guessed it was Eli. He usually came home first.

"I'm in my room!" I shouted.

He walked up to my room door and leaned on the frame. "How you feeling?" He said.

"First day I haven't puked." I smiled and did the peace sign like how animated characters do and laughed.

"Good, that's what I want to hear."
