I dropped the attendance off at the office and walked over to Perry, who was sitting at the front entrance.

"Talk to Aiden my back-foot." I said placing my hand on my hip.

"What?" He asked curiously.

"He kissed her. He told me that same day that he never liked her and that I'm the only girl in his life - not that I like him or anything - he lied to my face and that's all the information I need."

"Where did you get this information if you didn't get it from him?"

"Lea just told me on the way to the office."

"Okay, but she could be lying. You don't know what she has up her sleeve. Remember when we were walking past her today and they were looking at you and laughing?"

"Yea..."

"Who knows what they could've been talking about? For all you know, Aiden could've told her you guys are friends...were friends."

I shook my head in disbelief.
"I'm not talking to him, end of story."

He sighed, "you can lead a horse to water but you can't force it to drink. Talking to him could build a changing point in your friendship...maybe in your life."

"Trust me, nothing that happens between us will benefit or make my life any worse."

"You sure about that?"

"Positive."

"SPEED! I win again." Asia said, happy dancing when she beat August in the card game, Speed. They had been playing in the open space in front of our bedrooms.

"You cheated, bruh!"

"No I didn't." She was getting frustrated.

"Yea you did. You had more than five cards in your hand; you cheated."

"That's not a rule, ditz."

"Woah, yes it is!!"

"No, it's not."

"I can't even take this. I'm not playing with you anymore."

"Alright, I'm playing." I interjected. "August, I'll play you."

"Okay."

I shuffled the cards and set up the game. Five cards on opposite sides, and the players got the rest of the deck. We flipped over the first two cards in the centre and started playing.

Ten minutes later, the score was 5 - 7, me winning.

I was about to shuffle the cards again when I got a text from Eli.

Open the door I'm almost home

Okaay I texted back.

"Asia, go open the door please!" I called out.

"Okay!"

My phone beeped again and I saw it was Lea. We exchanged numbers after school for tonight specifically.

Where are you? It's like 9:00

I jumped out of my skin and rushed into my room to pack. I pulled a small duffle bag out from under my bed and began to shove random but necessary clothes in it. Before I knew it, I was out the door and running to her house. It was only a couple doors down anyways.
I stopped at the door and caught my breath before I rang the door bell. Bridgette answered the door and for once she was calm.

"Hey, come on in." She said.

"Who else is here?" I asked as she brought me to the basement.

"Uuuh, it's me, you, Lea, Elsa, Toni-ann, and Mae."
