Evie froze with fear when she realized their situation.

Jafar had the scepter.

His was powerful with it. Everybody knew that. He had wished to be the most powerful sorcerer in the world, and his wish still had lingering effects.

"No,"  Jay stammered.

Jafar turned his head to face his son.

"Well, well... Just the little traitor I was looking for," he hissed.

Jay raised his fists in front of him prepared for a fight.

"Don't be so childish," Jafar sneered. He held up his scepter and with one swift motion, Jay was thrown against the walls of the narrow hallway and onto the cement floor. Jafar hummed his approval as Jay looked up at his father with contempt, holding his side as his face clenched with pain.

"Round two?" Jafar chucked raising the scepter for a second time. Evie yelled as she jumped forward, taking the second blow for herself. She was tossed around for a moment as the other three screaming in horror before she landed in a heap beside Jay. Mal and Carlos both moved forward to help their friends, and their parents looked in astonishment as they all came into view.

"Carlos!" Cruella croaked. "Sit!"

Carlos glared up at his mother as he bent over Jay.

"Not so fast!" The Evil Queen blurted out as Jafar raised his scepter for a third time. This time all 4 braced for impact as they were forced to the ground, bowing to the 3 villains.

"Mom!" Evie cried out. "You can't do this!"

"Watch me," the Evil Queen retorted with her head held high.

"But... But I'm your ticket out! You need me, remember?"

"Don't you worry your stupid little head about it," the Queen snarled surprisingly elegantly. "I'll have a castle and a kingdom before you know it."

"But... I'm your daughter," Evie breathed.

"Oh, you're a lot of things," the Evil Queen shook her head as  she took a step closer to her child. "Vague, gullible, naive," she stressed. She leaned down so only the young princess could hear her. "And stupid apparently." The Queen hissed as she glanced at Jay. "A street rat? A thief? Really?"

Evie was disgusted with her mother. She couldn't understand why she ever used to take her insults seriously. Her mother was never pleased with her and frankly, Evie didn't care anymore.

"What's going on?" Chad asked confused. The others had forgotten that he and Audrey were even in the room.

"Yeah, this wasn't the deal," Audrey crossed her arms. "You're supposed to go to the isle and bring them with you." Her voice shook. She was trying to maintain her usual, fiery attitude, but she couldn't help the fear and guilt that showed in her tone.

"As if," Cruella snarled.

"There's nothing there but mediocre makeup and cobwebs," The Evil Queen added.

"And thanks to you," Jafar growled leaning closer to Jay's face, "A shop that hasn't had a customer in weeks!"

"And that's Jays fault how?" Evie asked as she struggled against the magic of the scepter to break herself free.

"You're all to blame for the condition in the isle," The Evil Queen shouted.

"Chaos!" Cruella shreiked. "The island's gone rabid!"

"So without Malificent, we took matters into our own hands," Jafar announced. "And when we noticed the barrier was gone, we took advantage."

There was suddenly a sound like thunder, and even the villains looked frightened.

The group of people turned around as the door down the hall appeared, revealing Grover surrounded by nearly a dozen others, all bearing magic wands.

"Drop the scepter!" He yelled as he marched forward.

"As eager as I am to continue this reunion," Jafar smirked. "We really must be going."

He wove his snake-eyed scepter in a circle, and in an instant, he and the other two villains had vanished in a cloud of smoke.

"Crap," Carlos muttered. He had curled himself into a ball and was running his hands through his hair.

Evie looked around the room warily, before she felt Jay's hand on her back. She offered him a weak smile and he returned it.

Mal stood up and coughed in the smoke before walking to Chad and Audrey, who were both trying to look anywhere but at Mal.

"What were you thinking?" Mal scolded, putting her hands on her hips.

"That things would go back to normal," Audrey shrugged weakly.

Mal but her lip in frustration as she tried to remind herself that she had made the decision to be good.

"Well it was a stupid choice," Jay glared as he stood up. Evie stood up next to him and watched as he walked up to Chad.

"You really think we wanted this?" Chad asked, incredulously.

"No the problem is that you weren't thinking," Mal spit.

Grover approached the group obviously annoyed.

"So this was your work?" He questioned. Chad and Audrey nodded slowly, not taking their eyes off of the floor. "You're gonna need to come with me." He motioned to two of his companions who held on to Chad and Audrey's arms and followed Grover down the hall and out of the jail.

Evie bent down and rubbed Carlos's back.

"It's alright," she assured him. He stood up slowly and Evie kept her arm on his shoulder.

The door opened with a bang, causing Jay to jump in front on his friends and the group to back up.

It was only Ben.

"Is everybody alright?" He asked as he ran towards the group, his eyes set on Mal.

"We're fine," Mal said glumly.

"Is it true?" Ben asked quietly.

The group nodded.

Things just got a lot more difficult.
