29. Telling him you're pregnant

"So when are you coming to see me?" Your husband of a year asks as soon as the two of you connect over Skype.

"Only a few more days." You smile and rest your hand on your small baby bump hidden from Niall's view. You want to tell him in person. He's been gone for two months on tour. The last you saw him was right before you'd found out that you were pregnant.

"You're coming to get me at the airport, right?" You ask.

"Actually, I can't." Your spirits sink. "But I promise I'll see you soon after." He promises seeing your disappointed look.

"Okay." You pout.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

~ A few days later ~

As you descended down the escalator the first thing you see is a giant sign saying: Niall's Wifey. You laugh and happily walk over to Liam.

"Nice sign." You comment, giving him a hug.

Liam laughs. "Niall made it. He is completely head over heels for you."

You beam. "Speaking of Niall, why couldn't he be here?" Liam grabs the bag you point out from on the carousel.

"He has some work he wants to finish up."

"Oh." The two of you walk outside to the car that's waiting. "It's kind of hot out today." You comment, shedding all the layers you were wearing and then you and Liam climb into the back of the car.

Liam turns to you with knowing smile on his face. "So Niall doesn't know yet?" He asks, eyes twinkling.

You blush and your hand goes self-consciously to your stomach. "No. I want to surprise him."

"Oh he'll be surprised alright."

~ Later ~

"Hello? Niall?" You call into the empty room at a movie theater. You've walked half way down to the front when the lights dim. Surprised, you stop, "Hello?" You're starting to get a bit freaked out. But then your wedding song starts playing and on the movie screen, a slideshow of pictures plays, starting when you and Niall first started dating. Mixed in are some video clips that Niall had taken on his phone and a video of when Niall proposed at a concert. The song nears the finish and over the speaker you hear Niall's voice joining in.

You rush onto the stage as the song ends and engulf you husband in a hug.

"Happy anniversary darlin." He says right before you kiss him and kiss him. You're so happy to be with him again that you start crying.

"Hey, hey, don't cry, don't cry." He comforts swaying the two of you back and forth.

"Sorry, I'm just so happy."

"I know." He kisses you. "Com'on I've got another surprise for you." He starts turning away but you pull him back.

"Ni, wait. I have a surprise for you."

"Ooh!"

You chuckle. "Niall, I'm pregnant."

His eye widen and his mouth drops open. "What? You're serious?!" You nod. He whoops and you are immediately engulfed in a hug then picked up and swung around. You both laugh. "I'm going to be a dad." He says in wonder, once he's set you down.

"Mm hmm." You hum happily.

"We're going to be parents. You're going to be a great mum."

"And you are going to be a great dad."

"I love you.

"I love you too."
