My name is Lucina, and I'm seventeen years old. I am human in case you wanted to know. Since the world has humans, elves, dwarves, fey touched humanoids, gnomes, et cetera, it is a relevant piece of information. I've been on my own for about a year. The reason for this is that I made a promise to someone close to me that I'd pick up the adventure that she could not finish due to special conditions.

After my travels on my own, I've at last reached the town Cliff burg. This is the town where she stopped her adventure. Now I will follow her foot steps and I'll finish the adventure that she started all those years ago.

The town filled my nostrils with the scent of salt water, minerals from the cliffs, and fish from fishing boats. Cliff burg was not a small town. The town I stood in was the size of a small city. It was very active and crowded with people from different parts of the globe. From what I could tell, most of these people were merchants and traders.

But I was not here to trade, sell, or to buy things of need. I now was scanning the streets as I walked along. I noticed that there was a some kind of tavern that look extremely packed.

"That looks promising," I said to myself, "That tavern looks as though it's a hot spot for other players."

And with that in mind, I made my way to the tavern with the high activity. I weaved in and out of the crowd as I walked to the tavern, and as I did, I saw the tavern's name on a faded board on the building. The sign had the large blue word that read 'Sea Dragon'.

As I reached the entrance to the tavern, the air was filled with the scent of sweat, wet dog, strong alcohol, tobacco smoke, salt, a strange smelling incense, and even a faint hint of blood.

The tavern had a tough feeling about it. As I walked to the bar, I could feel myself being scanned by many eyes. Having this feeling rush throughout my body, I gripped my small bag tightly making sure it was still there. This bag was a special treasure to me. It once belong to the person that I made a promise to.

After I weaved through the crowded tavern to the bar, I took an empty stool. There were three bar tenders To me, that was a sign that this was a common stop for travelers. One of the bar tenders noticed me.

"How can I help you, young miss?" he asked me.

"How about some iced water," I said in response. "And a simple salad to go with it."

"That would be two Selkens," He said to me (one Selken is equal to two dollars and fifty cents).

I gave him two silver coins called Selkens, and after a minute I got my water and salad. After I munched my salad and had my water I took a look around the bar and got a good view of the environment for the first time.

The tavern had at least thirty tables most of which looked as though they had been destroyed, and then put back together again several times along with their chairs. The wood was gouged by multiple knife marks, and cracks that might have come from heavy impacts also ran across the tables and chairs. Several tables and chairs were crudely put back together and looked as though they would not hold the weight of an adult. There were heads of magical creatures mounted on the walls that looked as though they had been just as abused as the furniture, and some looked as though they had been slashed and stabbed by knives. A few looked like they might fall off the wall again at the slightest disturbance. Even the walls had suffered abuse. Many slices in the wood from knife points could be seen throughout the wall. There was even a place where someone appeared to have been thrown through the wall. The vague outline of a figure could still be seen thanks to the hasty and clumsy repair job done on the wall.
