Chapter 21: Date Night

Ryder's P.O.V:

I have gotten dressed about fifty times by now. I sign and walk around in my room for a bit before going downstairs and taking some small to eat. I grab an apple and sits down on the table. Thinking hard. What should I do? I stood outside the clearing that is Grey and Melody's place and listen a long time to her voice, the stories she told. I look over to the computer and signs, I will have to look around to make it happen. Melody skips into the kitchen and looks around.

"Where is mom?" She asks and I smile to her.

"In the store buying food" I say and she then looks closer on me.

"Where are you going?" She says and look up to my eyes. Yet again I smile, this time nervously.

"I'm going on a date." I say and Melody starts to jump up and down!!

"With Noah?? Please say you're going out with Noah!!" She says happily jumping around. I smile and nods. She screams and I make a grimace. She then smiles shyly.

"Sorry" She says and then takes an peanut and jelly sandwich that I already fixed for her.

"What are you going to do?" She asks with her mouth full and I laugh.

"I don't know yet." I say and smiles. She swallow her food and smiles big.

"I know somethings she likes and misses." Melody says happily and she starts listing them off, Music, her parents, stars, the team her father coached and Riley. I start thinking and get some ideas.

"We need to do some research, wanna go with me?" I asks and she smiles and nods.

"But we gotta wait for mom to get home and help her with the groceries first" I say and she nods.

"I can help you with your clothes if you want, but we better change before the date or you're going to get dirty." She says and I laugh. Melody has always been like my best friend! She is amazing and so smart for her age. I loved her at first sign and when I got to feel moms tummy and Melody kicked I swore to protect her from everything.

"Mom, let me take the bags." I say and take them from her before going in with them while Melody updates our mom on my date. I hear how mom gets excited and I sign.

"It's one date!" I shouts behind me and my mom and Melody laughs. I put the bags on the kitchen table and starts to unpack and load it into cabinets. Mom and Melody gets into the kitchen and they are already talking about the date and what I should do. I sign a bit but smiles and lean back against the table. Melody then turns to me and smiles.

"He couldn't even stand out from Grey's and my place because she was with us, I swear that he stood outside just to listen on her." Melody says and I smile while I feel a blush creep up over my cheeks. Mom laughs and then look at me.

"He is in love with Noah, Melody" She whispers to my sister and I scratch my neck, nervous and don't know where to look. Melody then suddenly screams. And I grimace again, that girl has one hell of an high scream.

"You're the dragon!! YOU'RE THE DRAGON!!!" She screams and I look confused over to her.

"The dragon protecting the girl in armor that is Noah fighting the big black monster. It even got the perfect color of your eyes!!" She says happily and I'm still confused.

"What?" I ask unsure what to expect.

"When I got into Noah's room with her I got surprised and facinated over her big wall with drawings on. So I stop beside one that I really liked, It's a girl in armor standing in the front with a big dragon beside her and nine soldiers and the queen and king behind them all. And in front of them there is this really, really big black monster with big curly claws. And I just released that Noah is the girl and you're the dragon protecting her." Melody quickly explains and I frown.
