I wake up to screams. Getting out of my bed I can feel the heat. The floors aren't cold like usual. I take a look at the door and fear starts to sip into my body. Slowly I walk towards it.
I get into my parents room and I see a slim hand stand out from behind the bed. Carefully I take some small steps toward the beds right side.. Stepping around the corner I see it.. My mother, she is just laying there.. Sleeping. I take some more steps and shake her trying to get her to wake up. But she won't.
I'm running, my teddy bear flying in my hand as I run down the stairs. The first thing I see is my daddy laying on the floor almost like mom but he has blood on him. I feel more tears falling from my eyes, I don't know when I started to cry but now they fall freely. I jump down the next step and run to him. "Daddy!! Wake up!! Something is wrong with mommy!" My baby voice is cracked but still strong. I fall down on the floor sitting beside my dad and cry..
"I have found a little girl!" The voice is saying, I guess it's to someone else, so I don't answer. I crawl a little further into the corner of the living room. While daddy is laying some meters to the mans left I crawl away from the man, he looks funny, almost like a diver with tubes on his back and helmet on his head. The heat is too much. I run from the flames that was just in the kitchen before. Now it's on the whole upstairs plan and two of the rooms downstairs. I watch the flames coming closer but I don't want to move.
The man gets down on his knees in front of me, Slowly not to scare me. I look up scared by the black powder on his helmet, making it look like he doesn't have a face. I slowly extend my hand to his helmet and drag it over the blackness, the dust disappears where my handtouched. I can see icy blue eyes, a straight nose and a jawline like my dad had. I watch him and he smiles carefully at me.
"I'm going to help you out of here, okay?" Slowly I look behind him and see some other man taking my dad. I look at the man in front of me again.
"Has anyone taken my mommy?" I ask and the man and he takes up something from his left shoulder and presses a bottom. "Has anyone found an women?" He asks and there are some scratchy noises before there is an answer.
"Yes, an young women with brown hair and blue eyes. She was in a room upstairs." Another manly voice says and I nod to the man in front of me. Right then there is a crash and one huge bit of headlining of the house falls down right between me and the man. He swears loudly and I start to let tears fall again.
"Hey, it's okay. I am going to get you out of here!" The man says and he then starts to speak on that thing again and then looks at me through a crack on the wooden beam. "What's your name?" He asks an I look up to see him smiling again. "Noah.. Winters" I say slowly and loud enough for him to hear me over the cracking of fire and all the other noises. He smiles again.
"I'm Theodor Ryan, but you can call me Theo. My friend is going to get here and help us get you out of here okay?" He says and I nod before coughing.
"Here, breath through this!" He says and gives me his mask.
I jolt up. I'm in my bed breathing fast, trying to get the memory out of my head. When my breathing slows down I get out of bed and then walk to the big window. I get up in it and wait for the sun to rise. Wide awake I look up at the moon and smile sadly.
"I miss you mom and dad!" I whisper.

I jump down from the windowsill and look up at the big clock.. 08.00. I go to the other end of the room and turn on the light before waking up Riley and Zack. We then go and wake up the kids and help the ones that need help get dressed. I stop beside the last bed on the left and carefully and lightly shake Zoey awake. She yawns and then looks up at me.
