[Note: This really isn't all that good, but I figured I'd post this one too see if people like this one then I won't have to write a diffrent version of this story. Please Vote, Comment, and Fan me please] [You should listen to Auburn-Perfect Two Acoustic it's so adorable! Ok so I've decided that Damon is Tammy's Step-Brother then it doesn't sound as gross haha :)]

Two little girls laughed away on a swing set that had just been put up when both of the girl’s older brother’s came and started making fun of them. “Damon your such a jerk!” one of the little girls yelled to her older brother “So? What you gonna do about it midget?” he laughed at the thought of her beating him up. “I-I’ll tell mom!” That just made them laugh more.

“Okay C’mon Dame let’s leave them alone.” The other girls brother said looking apologetic to his sister, his sister was a little on the chubby side so he was always very protective of her. “Oh alright, later midgets” The two girls watched as their older brothers ran off to go something stupid. “Maia?” Damon’s little sister asked to her friend “Yeah Tammy?”

“Promise me we’ll be friends forever and that nothing will come between us.” Tammy held out her small pink painted fingers waiting for her friend to return the offer. “I promise” it was a promise the two of them knew would never break.

“Mommy I don’t want to move!!” Maia screamed as she was dragged into the van, “We have to for now Maia you’ll see Tammy soon ok?” her mother promised her as she struggled to drag her crying cubby daughter away from her best friend “Kyle help me get your sister in the van,” Kyle came and helped his mother drag his little sister. “I promise still that we’ll always be best friends!” Maia yelled through her tears, it was the hardest thing she’d ever had to do.

I was only 8 years old when I had to leave my best friend behind, now I’m 17 and missing my best friend more than ever. It wasn’t the fact that I was lonely or anything I mean I had plenty of friends just none of them filled Tammy’s place. I leaned propped up against my bed going through my friendship album seeing all the chunky pictures of me and how thin she was. Her brother Damon and my brother Kyle were best friends too, I when I was younger always had a crush on Damon and Tammy had a crush on Kyle. It was great, everything was great then. “Maia dinners ready!” my mom yelled from the stairway “Coming!” Kyle was in his room again, he never came out for family time anymore well not since our dad died two years ago. “Kyle dinners ready” I said as I knocked on his door waiting for a response. “I’ll be down later Maia.” Which in his language meant I’ll come down when it’s cold, I starred at his door which was covered with band posters and a couple pictures of him with me, some with dad and some with Damon.  I sighed and walked down the grey carpet stairs seeing my mom at the dinner table eating while reading another romance novel. “After dinner I need to talk to you and Kyle ok Maia?” I nodded wondering what on earth she had to talk to us about. Mom was definitely aging mainly from stress and the death of dad her use to be long beautiful brown hair was cut and her highlights needed to be redone her grey hairs were showing. Her use to be soft smooth skin was now wrinkling in some spots and she had the worst sagging eyes I’d ever seen. My mother was lonely and very lonely at that.

As I finished cleaning the dishes Kyle came down after mom yelled up to him and he made himself comfortable on our black sofa drinking a monster.

“Ok so you should know that my companies closing which means I have no job and we’d have new money.” She paused “So I’ve been looking around and found a really good job offer up in California…” she paused again letting Kyle and I look at each other with pure endless excitement, California was our home town where Damon and Tammy along with their mom lived still. “So I’m going up next week to be interviewed so I figured that you two would probably want to stay at the McAllen’s house but the deal is while we’re up there we’re going to look at houses too that’s if I get accepted” I started jumping up and down screaming while Kyle watched me with a smile that I hadn’t seen in years.

I ran upstairs and got on my IM messaging Tammy with all the exciting news she messaged back just as excited as I was.  I logged off feeling a sense of pure relieve fall right off of my shoulders, I plopped myself on my black blanket and purple pillowed bed listening to Britney Spears’ ‘Trip To Your Heart’ and found myself dreaming about seeing my best friend again.

“Tammy?” Maia asked as they walked home from school “Yeah Maia?”

“Do you think I’ll be thin someday?” Maia was a small girl with chub everywhere all she wanted was to be pretty and thin that was her one wish as a child. “Maia your perfect the way you are!” Tammy stopped her friend grasping her shoulders looking straight into her friends eyes seeing her brown hair fall out of her pig tails. “then why do I get made fun of so much?” Maia cried

“There jealous that’s why, that and there a bunch of nobodies.” Tammy always knew how to make Maia feel better when she felt down about herself.
