My Best Friends Brother and Starry Romance

Part 4

                **MASQUREADE TIME**

I walked around our room at the hotel Lilly wearing a beautiful ball gown. It was sleeveless and tight around the waist making her chest pop out more, the color was a beautiful pink not bright but not dark either it was just right. It flowed wonderfully behind her as she walked in her white heels which no one could see, the diamond covered necklace she wore hung perfectly around her neck and the white gloves going up to her wrist with one diamond bracelet on her left hand. She looked stunning her white mask hiding her well done light pink eye shadow, her hair pulled up and it still hung down her neck the curls flowing down. “Who knew guys could take longer than girls” Lilly joked, her date went well and they we’re really hitting it off  “Yeah” I continued to walk around the hotel room, the walls a brick white with canopy beds one for me and Charles and one for Lilly and Ben. I felt like I was going to throw up.

LILLYS POV:

She walked around the room like an angry lion in a cage, her black gown making her seem even madder. It had one sleeve that hung off her left shoulder, the diamond cross in between her chest and her hair curled and flowed loosely with the black rose placed perfectly on her right side of the head. “Calm down Star you’re gonna make yourself sick” I sat on the bed that Ben and I were planning on sharing “I’ve never been to one of these Lil” her black mask with small feathers surrounding the frame showing her brown eyes that had white eye shadow surrounding her eyes it made them sparkle but sadly no one would probably see them. “Ladies?” Ben spoke as he unlocked the door looking stunning in his simple black suit with a light pink bowtie that went with my gown; his mask was black and very simple. “Lilly you look beautiful” he complimented me as he took my hand like a gentleman and kissed it “You look not to bad yourself” I kissed his cheek and stood looking at Charles who stared at Star like a priceless diamond  “Ready to go?” Charles was most likely referring to Star she simply nodded sliding her black gloved hands in his arm; I did the same with Ben. It was going to be so much fun!

 BENS POV:

I could not believe the woman I was dancing with had been single she was way too beautiful to be, her gown simply made her even more beautiful. The room was stunning also all the women in gowns and the men in their suits simply made it even more elegant. I twirled Lilly around making her laugh like a little girl then pulled her close to me receiving a kiss from her. I felt luckier than anyone in the world.

CHARLES POV:

                Star seemed distracted as I danced with her, she wasn’t really even moving it was more her swaying her hips as she looked around the room nervously. “Star?” I said, she didn’t hear me “Starlight?” she looked up at me showing fear “Sorry…” she looked down at my shoes. “What’s wrong?” I lifted her head up with my white glove “I don’t know…” she placed her head on my chest holding me as we swayed slowly I could feel her heartbeat it was fast and pounding hard, it scared me to feel the fear she was feeling in her chest. I held her rubbing her back when she collapsed, had she taken her pain meds? I slid off her mask her eyes looking stunned and scared she was still breathing but not as heavily “STAR!” I screamed loudly seeing a small pink figure run over “Star? Can you hear me?” She took over checking her pulse she nodded but still remained in a weird state “Star did you take your pain meds?” another nod “Charles can you carry her up back to the room I need to see how much she did take, I lifted Stars body and followed Lilly along with Ben back up to the room. I felt a fear inside me and normally that didn’t mean a good thing.

                Once we reached the room I sat watching Stars breathing as Lilly looked for Stars pain bottle “Oh no…” that wasn’t a good sign “What Lilly?” Ben stood over her looking at the bottle “She took the wrong med…” she sighed “Thankfully it won’t last much longer, the effect with this pill on Star is she gets really, really anxious about things and starts to panic hence forth her walking around and her collapsing. She collapsed from worrying so much that it made the med make her heart speed up more which caused her to react more.” Lilly sighed sitting in a chair nearby “How much longer should this last Lil?” I asked, I watched Star look at me “Um maybe 20 more minutes or so?” Ben stood leaned up against the wall next to Lilly “You guys should go back down I’ll call if anything happens” I said, I handed Lilly her phone which she placed in her chest “Call me as soon as she starts to return to normal I have to give her the right med as soon as she’s okay” Lilly took Bens hand and left leaving me with Star who was starting to come back to normal but slowly. “I Love you Star…” I whispered to her, I grabbed her hand and kissed each finger as I saw a tear come out of one of her eyes I laid next to her looking into her eyes as I held her hand.

                I felt her move by me making me pull out my phone instantly “Lilly she’s awake” I said, Lilly hung up then was up soon after “Okay Star now let’s give you the right med” Lilly opened the bottle her hand slightly shaking “I’m sorry Lil” she spoke softly holding my hand still “It’s fine” Star kicked off her heels then crawled on the bed starring at the wall “Well I’m going to shower” Lilly said, she kicked off her heels as well then grabbed sweatpants and a tank top Ben fell asleep in his suit on their bed which made me chuckle a little since he still had his shoes on. “Charles?” Star whispered, I slid off my shoes before crawling up next to Star “What is it?” I wiped a couple tears away from her eyes “Did you mean what you said?” she looked into my eyes “What do you mean?” I was confused “When you said you loved me…” she spoke softly showing signs of confusion “Yes I meant it” I kissed her forehead, her body moving close to mine as she placed her head on my chest. I was in love with this girl, I just hope she loves me too.
