Yeniya's legs brought her to the swimming pool located at the back of the school. It was out in the open. The sheer size could hold an Olympic marathon with hooded benches for spectators at the side. But the pool was not the reason why she was there.

Walking towards the fence that separated the school from the forest, she found a small gate that leads towards the wild. Looking around her, the area was devoid of people. Odd for lunchtime.

Knowing that she still had time, she opened the gate. She could tell that it was often used because it was oiled, making no creaking sound.

Stepping out, the smell of green immediately welcomed her nose but it was mixed with something else; a stench of death. Treading abyssal to the forest, passing across branches and mossy leaves, the awful feeling intensified as she ventured deeper and deeper.

A minute of walking after, she reached a leveled ground and saw a shed as sunlight shone on it. Striding closer, she could tell that it was very old. It was built on wood, but the blue paint that once should have painted the outer walls was already fade. Moss had already walked through the floor of the deck. Branches of trees had already entwined with the roof. It looked like it wasn't used for a long time now.

Stepping toward the deck of the shed, the floor creaked. The sound almost made her jump but she remembered how uneasy the floor was, she sighed and gripped the collar of her T-shirt. Her mind was telling her not to proceed any further, but her body acted on its own. She reached for the door and slowly pushed it open.

She had prepared herself of what was to come but nothing could ever prepare her for the scene she was about to see.

People often thought that she was crazy. At times, she would just stare at space even cry all of sudden. Pretty weird right? But then again, people wouldn't see what she usually sees. People wouldn't understand because they weren't her. They don't have her gift.

A special ability that could be called a blessing and a curse at the same time. To see how people died, just from stepping foot on where they spent their last breaths. To see how they suffered as they spent their final moments.

The more pain they had experienced, the more she could see.

A hand clamped over her mouth, it took all of Yeniya's strength not to scream.

The image of the dead woman came up crystal-clear.

^_^

Yeniya's breath hitched in the back of her throat as the scene slowly unraveled in front of her. The door behind her closed by itself, not that shed'd noticed.

Her mind was telling her to turn away, to look away but she couldn't, her body wouldn't let her as if some force was binding her.

Lit by just a mere flick of a light bulb, the room was dim. No light passed through the windows, and the walls felt suffocatingly close. Too close for her comfort.

Yeniya stifled a cry as she saw the details fully displayed. Hanged on a St. Andrew's cross was a woman, drenched in her own blood. Her skin glistened in sweat and blood, marred by slices of flesh. Her clothes were tattered revealing her sexual areas for all to see. Her jaw snapped close, brows knitted, her eyes furious, she looked straight ahead. She showed no emotion aside from anger.

Looking around the shed, it was too dark for her to make shift of what's inside. The light bulb was above the woman, she knew she needed to move closer, but she was too afraid. Someone was beside her.
