AN: Enjoy!

An echoing series of footsteps cut through Yeniya's flashback. The feeling of something tugging her hand dragged Yeniya out from her past nightmare to the painful reality. The reality that Lumie, eyes pulled up was shaking, convulsing on the floor beside her.

Someone was dying because of her touch while she was dying from the guilt.

Yeniya knew where it was going. There was nothing she could do.

All she could do was gaze at the ceiling above and closed her eyes as she let go of Lumie's arm. A chill spread through her as if winter had come, making her cold. She had been in this situation before. She had remembered Ellen's frantic call for help, Lucia's whimpers and even Cain's desperate face. She had seen all her victims trying so hard to live-- to escape her curse.

But no one wasn't able to.

The door banged opened and Yeniya saw Lyon, his ocean blue eyes widened as he looked at Yeniya. A worried look on his face. Guilt swallowed Yeniya as she watched his expression. He wouldn't have that look anymore if he knows what I can do. What I did.

As if he only noticed Lumie beside her, he broke eye contact. Yeniya waned seeing bewilderment marred Lyon's face as he looked down at the quivering woman on the floor.

"What happened?" Lyon said as he knelt down beside Lumie. But before Yeniya could answer him, she saw Lyon swept to the side as another man brought Lumie face close to his heart. With Lumie's cheek on his chest, the man was caressing Lumie's forehead. Yeniya could only assume that this man was Lumie's lover.

The man murmured something incomprehensible, which made Yeniya devastated. The man had probably already knew that Lumie was already dead.

Yeniya turned away unable to watch the scene knowing that it was her fault, but her eyes was met by Lyon's gaze. He was looking at her with confusion and wonder.

But Yeniya knew better than answering the question. She whispered I'm sorry, wiping the tears in her eyes and scrambled to the side of the room, giving both the men space to mourn for their loss.

She was about to leave the room, hands already on the door frame, when Yeniya's eyes caught sight of green hued ball of light that was glowing on Lumie's chest. It was just a speck at first but the more Yeniya looked at it, the more it shined brighter like fire that was caught up with wood. She watched as the light slowly illuminated Lumie's shoulders, her legs and lastly her face. In mere seconds, Lumie's body was already covered in emerald light as her spasms stopped.

But Lumie wasn't the only one, the man's eyes was also glowing green, a vacant look on his face as his mouth chanted words Yeniya couldn't understand.

The moment the man stopped talking, Yeniya saw Lumie gasped as the light that bathe Lumie slowly faded away. Lumie stirred awake.

"Lumie?" The man asked, tucking one strand of Lumie's hair that left the confines of her tight bun.

"Ian? What happened? Why am I on the floor?" Lumie drawled as she tried to sat up, but the man stopped her.

"No mie, don't move just yet. Please," the man pleaded as he cupped Lumie's face with his hands. "I almost thought I lost you. I almost felt the bond slowly fading away and if I wasn't here fast enough, you would've...." Ian was lost for words but managed to continue, pulling Lumie closer to him. "I just can't imagine it, miemie." His voice hoarse, like someone who spent his time shouting.

"Shh, I'm okay," Lumie comforted her mate, her voice thick with emotion. "Please let's not fight. And all because of some stupid T-shirt. " Lumie mumbled as she hugged his neck. Her back shook as she cried uncontrollable sobs.
