Meanwhile, Thorin went back to his chambers, as he is now in full rage, and he began throwing things around his chambers, cursing in his language.  Suddenly, Balin and Dwalin rushed into the room as they witnessed their friend having a severe melt down. "Thorin! Calm down now! Thorin! Get a hold of yourself!!" shouted Balin. "NO!" roared Thorin, as he shoved Dwalin away, knocking him to the ground.  Suddenly Dwalin stood up, and he grabbed Thorin, and he sat him down in a chair, while Balin cleaned up the mess Thorin had made in his room. "You sit down right now, and calm yer ass down! What is goin' on here?!" demanded Dwalin.  "The one woman, the ONE woman whom I truly loved betrayed me, who turns out to be an ELF! A BLOODY ELF!" fumed the Dwarf Prince. "Laddie, she's an half elf, that doesn't count for anything! And as for her lame brained excuse of a father, who's also  a dwarf!" scowled Balin.  Thorin remained silent.  "We all know you love Nattie, but she has got a past on her--it's best that she should be left alone--at least for a while." said Dwalin gently.

"My brother is right. You should leave this woman alone for a while, until she overcomes what she is going through now." said Balin. "WHAT? And allow that poor woman to get abused even more?! What in the hell is the matter with you people?!" shouted Frerin, whom had been standing outside, hearing the conversation.  Soon all eyes turned to Frerin.  "Abused?! What are you saying, lad? What do you mean abused?" asked Balin.  "It means her father, Forn! I've known him for quite some time, and he has a very poor reputation, in fact, he's a slave driver, who's been working for some human slave drivers." said Frerin.  Thorin's eyes widened in horror.  "Not only that, Her father has been abusing her. I've saw the bruises on her arms.  She couldn't get that from just anywhere." said Frerin, gravely. "She cannot live with that dwarf! And I cannot believe your Grandfather would send her away to that dwarf who will cause her more harm than good!" Balin ranted.

"I'm going to find her!" said Thorin.  "Thorin, wait! Aren't you supposed to be going to that dinner tonight with your Grandfather?" spoke up Balin. "To hell with that damn dinner! I'm going to find Nattie!" shouted Thorin, and he stormed out of his chambers.  Meanwhile,Thorin had left the Mountain and headed towards Dale.   It didn't take long for the Dwarf Prince to find the home of Forn  Firebeard, when he could hear screaming and arguing coming from inside the house, alongside with the sounds of broken glass. "I hate you! You're not my father! You've never been a father to me! I hate you! You worthless piece of garbage!!" screamed a female voice, as Thorin recognized the voice belonged to Nattie.  Thorin peered through the window, and he could see father and daughter yelling at each other.  "You stupid little bitch!! I've just about enough of yer damn whining!!" bellowed Forn,as he charged at her, picking her up by her throat and pinning her to the wall. This angered Thorin tremendously, as he was about to barge down the door of the home, until he heard a loud thump. "Die you bastard!!" Nattie screamed.  Thorin charged into the home, and he saw Nattie standing there, her hands covered in blood, and the dead body of Forn, laying lifeless in a puddle of blood on the floor.

"Nattie." gasped Thorin.  "Thorin, leave! You shouldn't be here!" Nattie screamed.  But Thorin didn't move, as he continued to move closer to Nattie.  "Nattie, I'm so sorry--!" began the Dwarf Prince. "JUST GO!!" Nattie screamed at the Dwarf.   Sadly, Thorin left the house, as he walked back towards the mountain, shoulder's slumped.  As he arrived home, Balin and Dwalin greeted him. "Lad, are you alright? Why isn't Nattie with you?" asked Balin gently. "I think its for the best if she's left alone!" said Thorin, quietly.  "Laddie, could you at least tell us what happened?" asked Dwalin. Thorin turned to his friends, and told them everything he had saw, including Nattie killing her own father. "The poor lass." said Balin sadly. "Listen to me! The two of you will NOT say any of this to my Grandfather! Is that understood?!" demanded Thorin.  "It's understood, Laddie! I promise you we will definitely not say a word to your Grandfather." said Balin, gently.  "Good!" said Thorin.
