Nattie had decided once and for all to attend the Wedding Feast, in spite of having to see Thorin there in the arms of the other woman, and she didn't to sit in the area of the Great Hall, where she couldn't be seen.  After the toast was made for the Bride and Groom, the Feast began.  "Lass, are you sure you're going to be okay through this?" asked Balin, who came to sit beside Nattie. "How did you find me here? I was hoping no one would find me." said Nattie. "It's your hair that gives you away, Nattie." chuckled Balin.  The half blood snorted.  "Well, I'm not planning on staying long. I'm going to be leaving soon, in fact, I'm returning to Bree." said Nattie. "Lass, I'm sorry how things turned out for you, and I hope things will get  better for you someday." said Balin, gently. "I sure hope so.  Because to be honest with you, Balin, I don't know how much more I can take." said Nattie, sadly.  Balin placed his hand on her shoulder. "Just hang in there, child. You'll be just fine. You are much stronger than you think." said Balin.

Yeah, if my stomach doesn't stop churning every time I look at Thorin and Tabitha together,  thought Nattie.  Soon the dancing began as the musicians began playing the music, and everyone went up to dance.   "Aren't you going to dance, Nattie?" asked Balin.  "No, I'm not much of a dancer, and besides, I'm not much in a dancing mood." replied Nattie.  In fact, Nattie was starting to feel bored, and also rather out of place at the feast, she wanted to leave right away. And so Nattie stood up, and as she was about to leave the Great Hall, she felt a hand stopping her from leaving.   Nattie turned around and she saw Thorin standing there, with Tabitha by his side. "Leaving so soon, Nattie?" said Thorin. "I'm sorry, I can't stay here-farewell Thorin, and congratulations on your marriage, may the two of you be happy!" said Nattie, and she turned away, and left.  Thorin closed his eyes, his heart aching for her.  Thorin don't know how much he could take of this charade anymore.  "Tabitha, we need to talk, now!" said Thorin. "I was going to tell you, we should talk. In fact, we should have spoken before the ceremony!" said Tabitha.

And so both dwarves stepped out onto the balcony.  "Tabitha, I cannot go on with this charade no more.  To be honest, I really didn't want to marry you, I have no feelings for you, and I wasn't ready to marry you!" said Thorin.  "Well, that's a funny thing, because I feel the same, Thorin! Besides that, there is someone else in my life that resides in the Iron Hills. Is name is Lorv Tolsilver." said Tabitha.  Yes! Yes, yes, yes! Tabitha has someone else!! Thorin's mind cheered.  "Yes, Tabitha, I too have another in my life, but she has left, and I doubt that I will see her again." said Thorin sadly. "Don't worry, in due time the two of you will meet again. Maybe she needs her space." said Tabitha.  "It's a lot more complicated than that, Tabitha, which I cannot discuss with you." said Thorin.  "So--what are we going to do now?" asked Tabitha.  "We're going to announce to everyone that we're going to end our marriage." said Thorin. "Thorin, it's not going to be easy just to walk back in there and telling them we're going to end the marriage---especially at the fact, that you have your Grandfather to deal with." said Tabitha.  "I have dealt with him before, I can deal with him now!!" said Thorin.

Tabitha sighed.   "I surely hope so!" sighed Tabitha, as the two of them walked back into the Great Hall, as, they made their announcement to all the friends, family and other guests, about ending their marriage.  And this did not bode well with King Thror.  "Thorin, we need to talk in private! NOW!" fumed the Dwarf King.   And the two of them quickly stepped out into the Hallway.

"What in the hell were you thinking boy?!!  Have you any decency?!" shouted Thror, angrily.  "You don't understand, Grandfather! I have no feelings for Tabitha, as she has no feelings for me either! And besides that, she has someone else waiting for her in the Iron Hills!" Thorin snapped back.  King Thror turned to Tabitha. "Is this true, Tabitha?" demanded the Dwarf King.  "Yes, it's true, Your Majesty. I'm truly sorry!" said Tabitha, quietly.  "The next time, Grandfather, stay out of my personal affairs!" snapped Thorin, and he walked away, leaving the Dwarf King alone.     Meanwhile,Thorin went back to his chambers, as he stood out on the balcony.  Thorin could sense the presence of his friend Dwalin, standing nearby.  "Are you alright, laddie?" asked Dwalin as he stood next to his best friend. "The one whom I truly love has already left--I will never see her again." said Thorin, sadly.  "Don't say that, lad.  She'll come back! Knowing Nattie, she won't be away long." said Dwalin. "How would you be so sure, considering what the poor woman had been through for the past several weeks. The is more than one can handle-I feel so bad for her." said Thorin.

"In due time, the two of you will cross paths again! It's just the matter of time." said Dwalin.  Thorin sighed. "Perhaps you're right, Dwalin--Perhaps you're right." said Thorin.

Village of Bree                                                                                                                                                                   Spring, 2810

Years had passed slowly, as Nattie had lived peacefully in the village, as she went back to her work, as a barmaid at the Prancing Pony Inn.  Not only that, she also lived there as well.    Many of the people that knew her, felt delighted that she had came back.    It felt like she had never left when she returned.   That same night, the Inn's Proprietor, Barliman Butterman Sr, whom Nattie always called 'Barley' approached Nattie.  "Nattie, several dwarves will be arriving tonight to celebrate a birthday. You will be serving them tonight." said Barliman.  Nattie nodded.  "When will they arrive?" asked Nattie.  "Approximately at six o clock.  They came here from the Blue Mountains!" the Inn Keeper replied.  Oh brother, dwarves from Ered Luin! Why do I have to deal with those ass holes?  thought Nattie. Hours later, it was near six o clock,  and Nattie had dreaded it.  Those dwarves better not cause any trouble with me, or they are going to be thrown out of here,  thought Nattie, as she remembered her past history with the Dwarves of Ered Luin.

By the time six o clock rolled around,  Nattie headed into the common area to meet with these dwarves.   But she wasn't prepared however, of what she is going to expect once she entered the common area.   Once she entered the common area,  she gasped as she saw the dwarves.  The dwarves looked up and they saw Nattie standing. "It can't be!! Are my eyes deceiving me? Is that really you, Balin?!" cried out Nattie.  "Nattie! Oh Nettie! Bless you!" cried out Balin, as both dwarves embraced. "I never had thought I'll see you again! Look everyone! Look who's here, it's Nattie!" exclaimed Balin, turning to the rest of the dwarves, which is Dwalin, Oin, Gloin,  Bofur, Bifur and Bombur, and Thorin.  Thorin stood up and ran towards her. "I can't believe it's reall you!" gasped Thorin, as he quickly approached her.   "THORIN!" cried out Nattie, as she threw her arms around Thorin's neck. "How I missed you so, armalime!" Thorin whispered in Nattie's ear. Thorin suddenly, began kissing her neck, and soon he planted his lips over hers.  The dwarves cheered. "You have no idea how badly I missed you, so much as happened after you left, imur!" said Thorin.  "You wouldn't mind filling me in?" said Nattie.

"If you supply us the drinks and food, we'll fill yer in, lass!" called out Bofur.  "I'll be back momentarily with everyone's drinks!" said Nattie, as she left the room.  After the drinks and meals are served,  Nattie sent for her own meal and drink, as she joined the dwarves, as Balin told her all that happened after Nattie had left, from the time King Thror fell into his gold sickness, to Smaug's attack, and their forced into exile, and their arrival in the Blue Mountains.  Then Balin went to account of the war in Moria, where it had befallen King Thror and Frerin.  When Nattie heard this, tears fell down her face.   "I barely got to say goodbye to Frer! And it's a shame that I never got a chance to stay on good terms with Thror!" wept Nattie.  "Nattie, it's not your own fault--it was my Grandfather's own doings of refusing to accept you for who you are." said Thorin, gently, as he placed his hand on Nattie's shoulder, as Nattie wiped tears from her eyes.
