It was nearly one o clock in the morning, when there came a loud knock on at the door of the home of Thorin Oakenshield. The loud knocks had woken both Nattie and Thorin, as they came running down to the front door, and Thorin answered, and they saw the guard standing outside.  "Are you the responsible adults of two young lads named Fili and Kili?" asked the guard. "I am their Uncle, yes. What is going on, Farkin?" asked Thorin, sharply.  "Your nephews had been caught stealing tonight t the pub! You know, Lord Thorin, those lads are too young to be in places like that! And I could arrest you too, for allowing it to happen!" snarled the guard. "WHAT?! I didn't even know they had left the house!!" shouted Thorin angrily.  "Now wait just a minute! You cannot arrest your own leader, Farkin! That isn't right! And Thorin is telling you the truth, we have no knowledge Fili and Kili had left their home, and their mother and father is still sleeping at the time!" said Nattie.

"Where are they?" asked Thorin.  "In the dungeons." the guard replied. "Well, I'm bailing them out!" said Thorin.  And so Thorin threw on his coat and left the house, as he followed the guard to the dungeons.   Thorin felt angry at his nephews for pulling this. He and Dis had raised them better than that.  He felt angry and very disappointed that this haad happened.   By the time Thorin and the guard reached the dungeons, they approached Fili and Kili's cell.  Not only he saw Fili and Kili in the cell, he noticed Nori, whom is a known thief in Ered Luin, also in the cell with them, as Kili glared angrily at Nori, as well as Fili.   "Lads, we're going home, and we're going to have a very long talk!" snapped Thorin.  Fili and Kili's eyes turned to Thorin, with expressions of fear on their faces as they saw their angry Uncle standing there.  "I swear to you Uncle we had nothing to do with it!" pleaded Kili.  "Save your story until we get out of here!!" Thorin shouted at Kili, and the young dwarf fell silent.

After they left the dungeons, hardly a word was spoken between Thorin and his nephews.  Instead of going straight home, they walked towards Fili and Kili's home, as they entered, as Thorin went to wake up Dis and Vili, informing them of what had just happened.    After Thorin gave them a long lecture, Fili explained everything to Thorin and his mother and father.  "It doesn't matter! The two of you should have never had left anyway! And to fall for that thief's conniving ways!! You were raised better than that! I am very disappointed in the two of you!" snapped Dis.  "We're sorry, amad!" said Fili and Kili together.   "For your punishment, the two of you will be working with me in the forge tomorrow morning.  And you will be helping me for five weeks." said Thorin.  "Some punishment! It's not like we've helped him before!" grumbled Kili.  "What was that, Kili?!" snapped Thorin, as he held Kili grumble.   "It's nothing, Uncle!" said Kili, quickly.

"As for Nori, he will spend a much longer term in the dungeons for using the two of you the way he did!" grumbled Thorin, and after wishing everyone good night, Thorin went home.

Six weeks later..

Nattie had been busy for the past few weeks in a forge creating a weapon that had been specially ordered by an Elf friend of hers,  Andorinel.  One week ago he had sent her a letter from Rivendell requesting to make a weapon for him.  Her friendship with Andorinel had been based on her mother's side, because she adopted him in the family since he lost his family years ago, and Adorinel always had been like a brother to Nattie.  However, she had been doing this quite secretly, because she didn't want Thorin to find out that she's been making weapons for elves, and she knew it would send him over the edge.   In fact, Thorin had found out about her plan, and forbade her from making the weapon for Adorinel.   And so there on out, she decided to work on the weapon in secret.  Now that the weapon is finished,  Nattie decided to take the weapon to Ardoriniel himself, but she realized she didn't have to, when she saw Ardoriniel arriving at the forge that very day, and that's when things went down hill fast, since Thorin was also t the forge.

And it was that same very day,  As Thorin and Nattie worked, the Elf entered the Forge.  "What is an Elf  doing in here?!" asked Thorin, sharply and rudely. "Is Nattie here? She had sent me a letter informing me that she had finished the weapon she had made for me!" asked the Elf.  Suddenly, Nattie heard Ardoriniel, and she ran to greet him.  "Ardoriniel! You finally made it! I got your weapon for you right here!" exclaimed Nattie, has she handed over the sword to the Elf.  And this had sent Thorin into a rage.  "Nattie, you lied to me!! How dare you lie to me!! You were told not to do this!!" shouted Thorin angrily.  "Thorin, this isn't the time to pick a fight with me! Ardoniel and I are only friends, there is nothing for you to worry about!" said Nattie.  "It doesn't matter, Nattie--he's an ELF! YOU know I HATE ELVES!!" screamed Thorin.  "Ardorinel, you have to go! I'm sorry about Thorin's behavior! I have to take care of this! Really, I am truly sorry!" said Nattie.  "I understand, Nattie! And thank you!" said Ardorinel and he left.

"I'm sorry, Thorin! I promised Ardoriniel I would make his weapon for him! And I'm not going to back down on my promise!!" said Nattie, sharply. "And you promised me you wouldn't do this, Nattie! How long have you been doing this?!!" shouted Thorin.     At first, Nattie didn't answer him.  "Answer me, WOMAN!!" shouted Thorin, angrily.   "I've been doing this for six weeks, Thorin!" confessed Nattie.  Hearing this now had sent Thorin into full rage.  "You've been doing this secretly behind my back!! You had the odacity of doing this after I told you NOT TO?!" barked Thorin.  "Now Thorin, there is no reason for you to get angry! I told you he was only a friend and nothing more! Why are you acting like this?!" cried out Nattie.  "That does it!! You betrayed me! You betrayed my trust! And I'm not going to allow some ELF lover living in my house! When you finish here, pack your belongings and get out of my house!! I don't care if I ever, EVER see your face again!!" barked Thorin.

"Thorin! You really don't mean that!!" screamed Nattie, as tears fell down her face.  "I mean every word of it! Get out! Before I strangle you!" snarled Thorin, icily.  "FINE!" screamed Nattie angrily, as she darted out of the forge.   She sprinted towards the house, as she went inside and quickly packed her belongings.  Once that was done,  she departed from Ered Luin with a broken heart.  Meanwhile, Thorin decided to close early as he went to the nearest pub to have a drink.  As he entered, he saw Balin and Dwalin there.  Balin noticed Thorin had been in a foul mood.  "Good evening, Thorin! Where is Nattie?" asked Balin.  "Don't mention that traitor's name to me again!" hissed Thorin, angrily.   "Thorin, what has gotten into you?" snapped Dwalin. "Did you and Nattie get into a fight?" asked Balin.

"I tell you what she had done! I told her not to make a weapon for that elf, and she done it anyway!! She's an Elf Friend, and she kept it a secret from all of us! She's a traitor, Balin!!" barked Thorin, angrily. "Thorin, there is something I have to tell you! I already knew of Nattie making a sword for Ardoriniel.  In fact, I met the Elf myself! And he's not a Mirkwood Elf! Laddie, there is no reason for you to get angry with her like that! They're only friends and nothing more! If it makes you feel any better, Master Ardoriniel is married!" said Balin.  "I don't give a rat's ass if he's not from Mirkwood! An elf's an Elf! I hate them all!!" shouted Thorin.  "Where is Nattie? Did she go home?" asked Dwalin. "No, I thrown her out of my  home. I sent her away! You will never see her again." said Thorin, icily. "Oh, Thorin how could you! You are making a really big mistake!" snapped Balin. "Mistake?! MISTAKE?! The biggest mistake I ever made is meeting HER!!" bellowed Thorin, and he stood up, and left the pub.  Balin and Dwalin exchanged looks. "What am I ever going to do with him!" moaned Balin in frustration.
