Erebor

Two days later..

Two days after the Battle and the funeral of the Sons of Durin,  Dain Ironfoot II had taken over has King Under the Mountain, as he immediately began the restoration of Erebor, with the help of Thorin's original company and Dain's Dwarves.  More Dwarves had been sent from Ered Luin to help as well, after Balin sent a letter to Lady Dis, giving her the bad news of her brother and son's deaths.  As for Nattie, she had used to sleep in the King's chambers, but moved to another chamber, where she had slept and she isolated herself from the rest of the world,  as she still mourned for the loss of Thorin, Fili and Kili.  Nattie had felt all alone, since no one had spoken to her after the funeral--not even Dain and his dwarves.   She even had heard whispers among the Iron Hill Dwarves as they questioned on why a  Half Blood is doing in Erebor.    And most of these whispers and gossip weren't very kind words.   Dain had addressed Nattie as Thorin's little half blood 'whore', much to the annoyance of Balin and Dwalin.

There were a few times Dwalin himself had punched Dain in the nose for the crude remarks about Nattie.  And this was the reason why Nattie remain confined her rooms because of the harshness of the Dwarves.  Once Dain had been crowned King,  Dain had decided to make Nattie his servant.  Balin and Dwalin didn't agree to this however, but they had to listen to their new King.     And so Nattie, whom was forced out of her confinement, had to due everything Dain had told her to do, from mending, to laundry, to serving food, delivering messages, etc.  It was to the point where Nattie wanted to leave--but she didn't want to leave her friends that are close to her.  As for Bilbo Baggins, he already began his journey home alongside with Gandalf as his escort.

Nattie didn't know how much more she can take working for Dain--the man was more arrogant than Thorin had ever was, not to mention harsh and cruel as he kept calling her 'Half Blood'.   One night,  Nattie went to her room, and wept, and it had been like this every night.   Also, part of her nightly ritual, she would visit Thorin, Fili and Kili's tombs as well, to help her cope with her grieving.  And each time she visit the tombs, she would have Balin and Dwalin go with her.   On the fourth night, Nattie went down to the Tombs as of her nightly ritual, after having a very bad night with King Dain.  Dain had threatened Nattie if she didn't keep up with her work, he would ban her from Erebor forever.   As Nattie sat in front of the tombs, she spoke, pouring her heart out to her deceased.   And as she spoke, she wept.

"Thorin, I need you--I miss you! If I were to turn back time now, I would save you!" said Nattie, as she wept.    And after a while, everything went silent--and there was still sounds of quiet sobs coming from Nattie.     After sitting for a long time, Nattie stood up and she left the tombs, and she went to her bedroom for the night.  Not long after Nattie had left the tombs, Balin and Dwalin came down, alongside with Lady Dis, whom had just arrived in Erebor, the day before yesterday.   As they entered, they saw something was amiss about the tombs.  They were opened!  "Balin, somebody has been into the tombs!" cried out Dwalin.   "How could this happen? This place is heavily guarded! Who would do such a horrible thing?!" exclaimed Balin.  "We must inform King Dain about this!" said Dis, and she already had left the Tombs to inform the New Dwarf King of their findings.   Balin and Dwalin shortly followed her.

Once they entered the Throne Room, Dis informed her cousin Dain of what they had discovered in the Tombs, and this had angered Dain tremendously.  All of a sudden the first person he blamed is Nattie, as he remembered she had been the last one in the Tombs.  "Guards!! Bring me the Half Blood!!" shouted Dain.  "Now, Dain--there is no reason for you to blame Nattie! She would never do such a thing! Yes, she was the last one who was down there, but Nattie would never mess around with the tombs!" protested Balin.  "How would you know that, Balin son of Fundin?! How dare you take the side of that Half Blood?!" bellowed Dain, angrily.  "That Half Blood is OUR friend, and you have no right to talk to her that way!!" shouted Dwalin, angrily.  "Dwalin, if I were you, I would bite your tongue, or you will be banned from this Kingdom at once!" shot back Dain.  And Dwalin fell silent with a quiet growl.  It didn't take long for the guards to find Nattie, as they brought her into the Throne Room.
