"Hello?"
Her voice makes me feel like I'm in another world, in another dimension. Where it's only us. It sounds like home, like family, like my very own comfort zone.
"Come back to Earth, Tyler! " She dramatically says and giggles.
I snap out of my trance and clear my throat. "Hey! Yeah, I, uh.. Sorry.. I was.."
"Thinking about me?" She cheekily asks and I can actually feel the naughtiness in her voice.
I laugh. "Don't flatter yourself."
"Yeah, yeah."
"Okay, so the reason why I'm calling, is that Sam and Zanna are insisting that I bring them over to your house. Can we crash your place?"
"Sure! I would love that!" She exclaims happily.
"Alright, we'll be there in an hour or two. Can't wait to see you."
"Come soon." She says and we both hang up. I can already feel my heart racing at the thought of seeing her.
--------
You know how little kids are? Jumping up and down in excitement because they're getting new toys or meeting their favourite person in the whole wide world?
In my life, those little kids are Sam and Suzanna.
It's like they're on a sugar overdose! They're literally squealing like little mice in a marathon. It's like they're meeting Cass for the very first time. Apparently, they're thrilled because they always wanted Cass and I to date and now that we are dating, they're just hyper because they're happy.
As soon as Cass opens the door, she is attacked by the two monsters into a tight, bear hug. I only got to see a glimpse of her before those two successfully blocked my view and now they're on a mission to squeeze her.
"Cassandra!!!" Zanna screams. "OMG I can't even begin to tell how happy I am!"
"Welcome to the squad! You're one of us now!" Sam cheers.
Squad? Really? Really, Sam?
I hear Cassandra's muffled voice, "Guys.. Can't.. Breathe.."
But these two dumbasses are too oblivious to notice, even though they're literally pressed on her.
"Alright! Break it off, you're gonna kill her!"
They reluctantly let her go and dash inside. I roll my eyes at their frankness and Cassandra looks at me gratefully.
That is when I actually notice her. She's wearing a baggy sweater and shorts. I swallow.
It's not that I haven't seen her in shorts before, I have. But I don't know, seeing her right now with her legs bare, and the fact that we're dating, is causing me to think all sorts of things.
Perverted things.
She interrupts my thoughts by wrapping her arms around me and giving me a tight hug. Her embrace makes me feel warm and I hug her back. She moves her head to look at me and says, "Hi."
"Hey, babe." I gleefully say.
"You look quite nice in a yellow shirt. My favourite."
"Why, thank you. I must say," I trail my hands to her lower back. "You look quite ravishing yourself."
She giggles and gives me a quick kiss before pulling back and closing the door. The moment she turns around, I pull her close and press my lips on her. She wraps her arms around me once again as she passionately kisses me back. Her fingers start making circles in my hair and I swear to God I am about to lose control any second now.
