(Peter's P.O.V.)

I had been staying in Camelot for the past few nights. I had figured that since I was staying in Camelot for a while that I might as well recruit some more boys to join my ranks. Playing my pan flute would at least get my mind off Ashlynn. Somehow it would. The second I start playing I'll forget everything that occurred just a few nights ago.

I had asked her to come with me back to Neverland. That Neverland is her home. Where she belongs. And she flat out told me that she belonged in Camelot. She decided to stay in this kingdom, her kingdom, and risk being sought after by her aunt. All because she had just become the Queen. She felt that it was her duty to her people to die to save them. As if that would work. If what I had learned about Morgana Pendragon, Ashlynn's army wouldn't even stand a chance against a high priestess of some old religion this kingdom seemed to fear. The second Ashlynn was out of the way, Morgana would slaughter any of the people that I passed by in the village who rebelled against her.

Of course, by that time, I would already be gone. The safety of these people was not of my concern. They never have been and never will be. I would have been perfectly fine if Morgana had struck before Ash had the chance to become Queen and these people died. Then I would have been able to convince Ashlynn to come back with me. She would have run right into my arms, begging me to take her back home...to Neverland.

You're the one who sent her here in the first place.

Maybe it was my fault that she had refused to come with me. I had acted out in anger. Both times. It had been me who sent her here. All because I blamed her for betraying me. I had put her through hell during her time on Neverland. I couldn't help it. It was who I was before she brought out the little goodness I had within me. Without her, it was just easier to give in to the darkness. To be the me that the lost boys feared if they ever disobeyed my rules. The King of Neverland.

I spun around as the sound of hoofs echoed behind me. The entire village quieted down the minute several knights appeared, gathering around to hear whatever the knights seemed to say. I quickly backed away from the crowd only to be grabbed by a young boy that looked up with me with the bluest of eyes I'd ever seen.

"Did you hear the news?" The young boys small, squeaky voice asked.

"No."

"The knights are here to recruit men to help rescue the Queen."

"What happened to the Queen?" I asked, glancing over to the knights who had jumped down from their horses and were gaining recruits from several men as multiple women weeped silently and children were clinging to their mothers and begging their fathers to stay.

"The Queen was kidnapped by the witch a few knights ago after being crowned Queen. She's disappeared. The knights have no idea where the witch is keeping her. They're worried for the Queen's safety."

"Who is the witch?"

"She's better known as Morgana. She's the last high priestesses here in Camelot. According to my dad she use to be kind and just. She was Uther's ward before she betrayed Camelot," he replied.

"If she's so powerful, I doubt the knights and the men of this village can defeat her."

"Yeah, but they'll try. Even if it means they die in the process," he said sadly. "Are you going to join them too?"
