(Peter's P.O.V.)
Avoiding being caught by the Knights of Camelot was the easiest thing ever. How the witches and warlocks in this realm were unable to do so amazed me. The knights fell for any distraction I handed them. It was miserable seeing how easily the knights could be fooled. Then again, they are adults.
Not that I should have been surprised. They were hellbent to follow through with their duties of capturing all those who wielded magic. Those people would then be punished for having magic. They were too ignorant to even contemplate the idea that they were being tricked.
My lost boys never would have let such tricks delay them from their target. They knew better. After all, I trained them personally. Each lost boy I took on were trained to excel at the weapon they desired. They were taught to never break in somewhere unless they knew the way out. They could easily adapt to any environment thrown at them. They would have thrived in Camelot had I brought them here, but I needed them in Neverland. I needed them to run "The Home Office" in order to find the Truest Believer.
I would find Ashlynn, take her back to her kingdom, return to Neverland, and continue my search for the Truest Believer. But I wouldn't be leaving Camelot empty handed. I would bring back with me more lost boys.
Bringing my flute up to my lips, I began to blow into the pipe. To those who were loved, they would hear nothing. However, those who were lost, unloved, had nothing to live for, they would hear a series of notes calling to them, drawing them to me, compelling them to have fun. The notes came easily to me. I just played the song without a second thought. I never had to think about it. The melody mixed together with the harmony creating a melodious song that would carry throughout all of Camelot, bringing all the lost boys in this realm to me.
It didn't take long until I heard the rustling of boys walking in the woods. The crunching of twigs underneath there feet. I smirked softly as I pulled up the hood to my brown patchy cloak and started up the fire with my free hand as I kept playing. The constant whisperings of the boys came into hearing as they entered the area I had cleared of trees with magic.
I began to move around in circles. I could tell from the boys expressions that they were surprised the flame of the fire didn't cast my shadow on the ground, but that didn't stop them from picking up the animal masks and their own instruments before they joined the party.
"You're the piper aren't you?" A familiar squeaky voice squeaked behind me.
I pulled the flute away from my mouth knowing that the music would continue without me playing it before I turned around to face the young boy.
"Is that what they're calling me?" I asked, taking off the hood of my cloak to stare down at the young boy.
"I'm Jeremy, fully prepared to join your troop of lost boys."
"Tell me, Jeremy, what is the music telling you?" I questioned the young boy.
"Why do you ask?"
"I'm curious if you're actually telling the truth."
"I am. I'm fighting the urge right now to join the party you've created with this music that is still echoing throughout this place even though you've stopped playing."
I smirked slightly at Jeremy before pulling out an animal mask and placing it over his face.
"Don't fight the music Jeremy. Especially this one."
He nodded before joining the circle of boys as they danced around me, yelling and whooping as the boys on Neverland would do. These boys would be an excellent addition.
