HARRY

October, 2015

Harry and Louis had been in their non relationship for over two weeks now, and things were going so well, that sometimes Harry even feared it was all a dream.

Their list of rules had been getting longer though, they were up to number 33 or something (Louis was a lot better at keeping track), but all of the new rules were about trivial stuff; like Harry had to wear socks to bed if he wanted to sleep over (apparently his feet were too cold), and Louis needed to let Harry know every time the baby kicked, which maybe was too much to ask, but Louis agreed to do it because he was the cutest.

Although it had been gradual, it still amazed Harry how much Louis had changed since the beginning. He had always known that his tough exterior was just his way to keep people away, and that on the inside, he was a lot more vulnerable than he would ever want anyone to know.

And now that they were sort of together, Harry could say for sure that he had been right; the more time they spent together, the more he could see the wall coming down, and the little fluffy and lovely person Louis really was came out. And what was even better, Louis was allowing Harry to take care of him, and that was all he ever wanted to do.

So naturally, Harry had a permanent smile on his face, and he was convinced that nothing and no one could make it disappear.

Except there was.

Harry walked out of the elevator on Louis' office floor, and went straight to talk to the receptionist,

"Hi Jerry" Harry greeted with a smile.

"Hello Mr. Styles" Jerry replied.

He had been coming to Louis' office a lot, so Jerry knew him pretty well by now... as Louis' friend obviously.

"Can I go into Louis' office?" Harry wondered.

"He's with a client, actually" Jerry said apologetically.

"Oh" Harry frowned, they needed to leave soon to make it to their appointment in time.

"This client showed up unannounced a few minutes ago" Jerry explained, almost whispering.

"Okay, that's fine, I'll just wait for him to be done" Harry decided.

He went to sit on one of the chairs in the reception area, and he took out his phone to check on his email. But while he did that, he felt as if someone was watching him, so he looked up, and all of a sudden he was staring into brown eyes, which were staring back at him from across the room.

But those weren't just any brown eyes.

They were Ethan's.

Harry's heart clenched, and suddenly thousands of memories, good and bad, came rushing into his head.

But he didn't want the memories, he didn't even want to be looking at Ethan, but for some reason he couldn't take his eyes off of his.

What the hell was he doing in Louis' office?

And why didn't he notice him when he first arrived?
