69. You're everything I need

During the past couple of months, Louis had slowly gotten back to work, just agreeing to organize a few small events here and there, and going to the office a few times a week either in the morning or the afternoon.

But that Saturday, Louis has been at work supervising an event the entire day, which had left Harry in charge of both kids. And it hadn't been hard, they were his children after all, and he knew how to take care of them.

The problem had been putting them to sleep at night, because they had both refused to sleep in their own bed; Matty because he kept getting up and going to his parents' room saying he missed his papa, and Ruby because she cried every time Harry put her down in her crib.

The result?

Matty was currently sleeping in the middle of the bed, snuggled up to his father's body, while Ruby slept on his chest, drooling all over his T-shirt, while he watched the telly.

Harry knew Louis wasn't going to like it when he got home after a long day at work, so when he heard the front door opening around midnight, he prepared himself for the worst.

"Hazza" Louis sighed, the second he walked into the room, and saw all of them.

"It's not my fault" Harry was quick to say.

"Then whose fault is it?" Louis asked.

"Yours, they're just here because they miss you" Harry replied.

"No, they're here because you're a softie" Louis declared, and went over to the closet, and started taking off his clothes.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart" Harry said, knowing Louis was right.

"It's alright, Haz".

After he put on his pajamas, Louis went to the bathroom, and when he came out, he joined the rest of his family in bed, and gave Matty's head a kiss.

"Can I have Ruby?" Louis asked.

"Sure" Harry agreed, and as carefully as he could, he lifted Ruby from his chest.

But the baby stirred a little, and started whining sadly, but Louis cuddled her in a way only he knew how, and she quickly calmed down.

"I'm sorry, papa just wanted to cuddle you, little cookie, I missed you" Louis whispered to Ruby.

"She really missed you today, I wasn't lying about that" Harry told his boyfriend "Matty too".

"I know" Louis said, as he gently ran his hands across Ruby's back.

"So how did the event go?" Harry asked him, as he turned off the telly.

"Really well, I think, there were no major problems, and I had no complaints" Louis replied "I even had two people come up to me to ask if I was available to plan a birthday party and a wedding".

"Oh, that's great" Harry smiled.

"Not really, I had to turn them down" Louis shrugged.
