HARRY

"Matty, it's bed time" Harry told his son.

"No" Matty shook his head.

"Yes" Harry insisted as he got the bed ready for the toddler to get in.

"No" Matty repeated, and he continued playing with the only toy Harry hadn't put away yet.

"Matty, come on" Harry said tiredly.

He had spent the entire day alone with Matty, and truth be told, he was exhausted. Now that Matty was healthier, he a lot more energy, and he liked to run and jump around the flat, and play games, and use every single one of his toys, and Harry just had to go along with whatever he wanted to do, because he wanted to make him happy.

"No bed fow Matty" the little boy said stubbornly.

"Monkey, I'm not asking if you want to go to bed, I'm telling you it's bed time" Harry said trying to make his voice sound firm, but he was failing miserably.

"Wanna pway wif me?" Matty asked.

"We already played all day Matty, and now it's bed time" Harry tried again.

"No" Matty giggled.

Harry was done with trying to convince him, so he just picked him up so he could put him in the bed himself.

"Nooo!" Matty said dramatically trying to get Harry to put him down.

"Hey, look at me" Harry said calmly, but the boy kept squirming "Matty, look at me".

"Daddy down!" Matty demanded.

Every single time Matty called him daddy, Harry's heart filled with happiness. He absolutely loved how the little boy said it, as if he had been calling him that for ages, not only 4 days (Harry had been counting). And yes, maybe Matty sometimes still called him Harry, which was probably just force of habit, but most of the time he was calling him daddy, and that made Harry very, very happy.

"Baby, listen to me, okay?" Harry said, never raising his voice.

"Wha'?" Matty asked pouting.

"Do you remember what papa said this morning before he left?" Harry asked.

"Papa say wove you, go wowk, buh bye" Matty replied.

"And he didn't say anything else?".

Matty shook his head from side to side.

"Well, I remember him saying you needed to be a good boy today, and to do as I said" Harry explained "Do you remember?".

The boy nodded this time, but slowly, as if he hated to admit it.

"So if I say it's bed time, you should listen to me, don't you?" Harry asked.

"Yesh" Matty mumbled.

"Good boy" Harry smiled.

Matty didn't seem very happy about having to go to bed, but he stopped fighting it. So Harry put him to bed, he gave him Paw to cuddle with, he tucked him in, and he read him a bedtime story.

"When papa home?" Matty asked after Harry finished the story.

"Soon baby, don't worry" Harry smiled at him "When you wake up tomorrow, he will be here".

"Kay" Matty agreed, he seemed sleepy now.

"In case you need anything, I'm going to be in the room across the corridor, and I'm going to leave the door open, okay?" Harry explained.

Matty nodded, his eyes were barely open now.

"Good night Matty, I love you" Harry said and kissed his forehead.
