HARRY

"Matty! I'm home!" Harry announced as he walked inside the flat.

He started taking his coat off, and suddenly Matty appeared running down the hallway.

"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" Matty said happily.

"You missed me?" Harry asked as he picked him up.

"Yesh" Matty nodded "An' I wanna gif you my pwesen'".

"You know, I've been thinking about that all day" Harry told him.

Matty grinned, and squirmed in his father's arms, which he had come to know it meant he wanted to be put down, so he did, and Matty ran in the direction of his room, and Harry followed.

When Harry reached the room, he found Lottie there, and she was giving Matty a paper wrapped box, which the little boy immediately took from her, and took over to Harry.

"Happy Biwfday, daddy!" Matty said offering the box to him with both hands.

"Thank you, monkey" Harry smiled, and sat on the bed to open it, Matty going to sit next to him immediately.

"Harry, I'm going to get dinner started in the meantime, Matty was saying he was hungry" Lottie told him.

"Okay, thanks, Lottie" Harry replied.

"Daddy, open it!" Matty demanded.

"Alright" Harry chuckled, focusing on the present again.

He unwrapped the box, and when he opened it, he found a clay hand impression inside. It was painted in blue, pink and green, but in a very messy way, that's why he knew it had been all Matty, and at the bottom it said in black letters: MATTY.

"Monkey, I love it" Harry smiled at his son "Thank you so much".

"Papa say is fow yow wowk" Matty explained very seriously.

"For my office, you mean?" Harry wondered.

"Yesh" Matty nodded.

Harry turned it around and saw it had a little ribbon where it could be hung from, and it also had something written, and he knew that was Louis' handwriting.

It said: Happy Birthday to the best daddy in the world! I love you lots!

And then it had the date at the bottom.

Harry thought it was perfect, and he loved Louis for coming up with such a nice present for Matty to give him, because this way he was always going to remember how little Matty's hand was when he was just 3 years old.

"I'm going to hang it in my office the second I go back to work, okay?" Harry told his son.

"Kay" Matty nodded happily, and Harry kissed his forehead.

"But in the meantime, I'm going to put it away to keep it safe, and then we can go help aunt Lottie make dinner, yes?" Harry proposed as he put the present back on the box.

Matty agreed, and followed Harry to his room, where he carefully saved the box in one of his drawers, then he left his phone charging on his nightstand, and finally they went to the kitchen to help make dinner (Matty just 'cooked' in his kitchen set, obviously).
