"I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying."

Chapter 18

"If you were a booger, I'd pick you first"

I cringed over Drake's cheesy pick up lines which he probably got from google. He sat next to Anna who I just met, with his arm over her and his lips on her neck. Which made me really uncomfortable considering I was sitting next to Alec and Tyler who I was having a wonderful conversation with in the living room couches.

"When are they going to stop," I kissed my teeth and gave them dirty looks.

"When they want to," Tyler smiled at me.

Alec lifted his eyebrow at Tyler, "What's you're name anyway?"

I started to shake in place. I didn't want him to know Tyler's name. If Alec was going to react, it would be violent. He knows I kissed a guy named 'Tyler'...back. Just because he made the first move, that gives Alec every reason to be mad at him. I know him so well.

"Gilbert," I blurted. Nice save,Daisy. Tyler stared at me wide eyed, and I copied his expression in a mocking way. Alec stared at us both confused.

"Weird name, c'mon man, it's the twenty first century," Alec grabbed a popcorn and threw it in his mouth while staring at the screen,"you could fucking change that shitty name of yours," he laughed.

"Yeah..." Tyler seemed so confused,"my name's no--"

"Can I talk to you," I looked at Tyler, genuinely.

Tyler was staring at Alec until his eyes dropped on me, he gave me a worrisome look,"You alright?"

"Yeah, but you said next time, remember?" I was just making an excuse so he wouldn't talk to my best friend about his name that I didn't want him to know. I sighed, who does this?

"Oh yes!" He got off the couch, touching his side pockets out of instincts,"of course"

I got up and looked Alec who looked like he was staring at me for quite sometime. I'm use to it. I didn't know that it'd be so hard on him. I wish I knew what loved felt like, so I would know how much pain he's going through.

I looked at Drake and his girlfriend knowing that they wouldn't even notice me and Tyler being gone for a while. "We'll be back," I said walking away. I felt my heart racing again as my shoulder grazed his arm. I looked at him at the corner of my eye to see him looking at me. Then I physically flinched.

"Seriously Daisy, you okay?" he closed the door behind him. We stood on the porch until I plopped down on the bench. It was dark outside, as I stared at the sky above filled with stars, I couldn't help feeling my stomach filled with butterflies as he dropped down right next to me. We were so close, that my heart could've burst out of my chest.

"W-When did Drake meet Anna?" I stuttered, feeling nervous of changing the subject. I felt his shoulder jolt next my side.
