"If you're gonna be two-faced at least make one of them pretty."

Chapter 17

"What the hell?" I screamed at Alec,"You clumsy mother f--"

"Hey! Appropriate language, young lady" he pointed his finger at me."It just slipped out of my hand, nothing to get worked up about"

I glared at the broken glass scattered on the tiled floor,"when I ask you to clean the dishes with me, this is what happens." I narrowed my eyes at me.

"You sound like my mother," he grimaced and grabbed the cloth on the counter."Fine. I'll be in the living room," he said, kissing his teeth. He threw down the towel in his hand and walked into the living room.

"Good!" I yelled after him. I picked up the pieces, carefully, so I wouldn't cut myself.

Tyler was coming for dinner along with Drake's girlfriend. Which I am so excited to meet because Drake's never had a girlfriend since he was in high school...I know. But most importantly, i was nervous. Especially knowing Tyler would be here in five minutes. So would the lovely couple as well. But right now, I needed to get rid of Alec.

I didn't want him being apart of the dinner, let alone seeing Tyler. He knows I kissed him...because I told him. That's all on me. It was my fault. I sighed, thinking that maybe it won't be pretty if they were to ever in counter.

I needed a break from my life.

I rubbed my eyes, then continued picking up the pieces."Uhm," Alec cleared his throat behind me and I turned around. Then all of a sudden my finger twitched and looked down to see a gash of blood pour out of my index finger. I noticed a small piece of glass in the cut. Throwing the little glass away with groaning and curse words."I'm the clumsy one, huh?" he smirked, and kneel down next to me. And before I could react, he put my finger in his mouth.

"Ew!" I yanked my hand away,"what the hell's wrong with you?"

His lips tugged up into a smile,"like you don't know," getting up from the floor approaching the cabinet in front of me. I couldn't help feeling yucky staring at the smudged saliva and blood on my finger.

"You're disgusting" I said blatantly.

"Uh-huh," he murmured, his fingers moving around the cupboard."Where the hell is the first aid kit?"

I scoffed,"You think my family has a first aid kit?"

He sighed,"true," closing the door. Getting up and grabbing the tissue from the table. He bent down again and rapped it around my wound."What am I going to do with you"

"You distracted me," sticking out my tongue and a mocking gesture.

"So whose coming over," Alec looked up and his brown eyes bored into me. So intensely and menacingly. Maybe not the right word but...intimidating.

I flinched at the sudden change of the conversation."Just Drake's girlfriend and a f-friend"

"Okay," he nodded his head."I can tell you're telling the truth but not all of it, of course, right?"

I sighed and bit my lip, he knows me so well.

"Yeah," I said truthfully."It doesn't matter anyway"

He gave me a smirk,"I'll stay for dinner"

"W-Why?!" No.No.No.

"Why not?" He got up from the floor and I got up as well to stare at his determined eyes,"doesn't matter anyway, right." He says mocking me.
