"Wait," he whispered.

But she didn't."

Chapter 10

"Wake up, you dumb fuck"

Drake's voice boomed from downstairs. I stretched--but I didn't want to go to school today. Well, does anybody. But out of all days today wasn't one of them. Depression was coming my way. Again.

My brain felt like it was stuck in a blender. I couldn't barley sleep last night to only think about how much I hurt Alec.

Normally, Alec would pick me up in the morning, but the last time he had done that, felt like a long time ago. He seemed so...distant. So far away, as if I couldn't reach him. My head was pounding severely. I needed a day off.

Footsteps ran up the stairs. Drake stood at my door in seconds and crunched his eyebrows.

"Get up. I don't have the time in the world! You have school, remember?"

"I'm not going" I yawned to emphasis my fatigue. I grabbed the hem of my blanket and threw it on my body. I began to get into a comfortable position.

"I have work, remember?" Drake's voice sounded irritated by my behavior.

"How can I forget" I murmured, slowly closing my eyes.

He started walking toward my bed "You can't stay here, idiot"

"Watch me" I realized he got a hold of my covering and threw it off the bed."What are doing!?" I yelled at him--so annoying.

"Get up, he's already downstairs to pick you up" What?

"Who is it?"

"Get up!" I watched my brother pick up his work bag and run down the stairs. I heard the door close.

The only thing that made me get up from my bed in joy was the fact that maybe...just maybe, he could be...

I ran downstairs breathing heavily from my heart pounding in my chest. To think he'd actually be here. I really wanted to know if he forgave me. If he actually considered on forgiving me. After all, Alec can't stay mad at me for long, right?

I was on the last staircase with a huge smile on my face. I can finally speak to him. Having not seeing his smirk when he saw me made me feeling horrible about what I've done. But maybe I could see him smile again. I inhaled and exhaled as I starting walking to the dining room to find---

"Hello!" A British accent voice sang out of the figure that sat down on a mahogany chair while holding a newspaper in hand.

Mason.

"What are you doing here" I hissed. He flashed his ultra white teeth in my direction. He stared at me up and down.

"Lovin' your knickers" I noticed his eyes twinkle. I looked down to find myself only wearing panties and a tank top. I yelled and ran up the stairs to only hear Mason's laughter from the dining room.

"You're the worst!"

"Don't worry, you won't be embarrassed to show me your 'panties' in the future" He grinned and winked at me.

"Eyes on the road! And slow down, you trying to kill us!" I yelled and held onto the arm rests of the passenger seat. I swear he was planning on taking us both down."You're driving to fast!"
