Chapter 18

Jordan POV

Why are girls so into shopping? Lucy is literally pulling me behind her like Hot Topic is closing in fice minutes and she must buy something. Girls seriously? Is shoppig the only thing that goes through their head?

"No!" Lucy shouted. I looked at her with a raised eye brow. She looked up at me. "We can't go in there!" I thought she was able to read my mind about girls only thinking about shopping.

"Why not?" I asked.

"Because the manager dude is there and he doesn't like me. He thinks I stole something just because I was alone one time. I guess he is the major manager because he was working at the one in my home town like a month ago. Maybe he is stalking me! We need to go." She looked around. "Lets go to DEBs I need a new dress!"

"For what?" I asked confused. This girl is really confusing sometimes!

"If I told you I would have to kill you." she smirked.

"Is that so?"

"Yepppp" She said popping the 'p'. I grabbed her hand and twirled her around. When she was up against my chest I picked her up and spun in a couple circles, giggling the whole time. Damn I love this girl!

"Sir. I am going to have to ask you to put the girl down. If you arent here to buy anything then you need to leave." said a security guard. Lucy started laughing harder.

"Dude! Thats some funny shit! Do you say that to everyone!" Lucy laughed at him.

"Yes miss because it is my job."

"Well you suck at your job. You're way to funny!"

"Miss are you on drugs?"

"Noooo." she said looking around.

"Miss I am going to have to ask you to come with me. You sir need to let her go so she can come with me and youmay go home."

"I dont think so. She isn't going anywhere with you!" I yelled.

"Jordan its okay. I will meet you in the parking lot in five minutes. Dont worry I will be okay." She said jumping out of my arms.

"Lucy! You will not be going anywhere with this man." she pulled out her phone and texted someone. A few minutes later I had two sets of arms around me pulling me in the direction of the parking lot. Lucy turned and went with the security guard.

"Dude! You need to calm down! She will be okay!" Kayli yelled at me.

"Dont speak to me like that!" I growled.

"She's right dude. Plus LJ said she would be okay. Don't you think you could trust her just a little bit?" Scott asked.

"I could if she was near me but she isn't and it has my wolf on high alert!" It was true my wolf was not okay with her being with some random man.

"The guy is a wolf and I am pretty sure he knows that your her mate. He isn't a rogue so no need to worry. Plus when she looked at him there was a hint of love. Nothing compared to the way she looks at you though. It was more of a family lookig love. I'm just gonna shut up now!" Kayli said.

"Good idea." I glared at her. What is taking her so long? Hasn't it been five minutes yet? She better be out soon or I will be finding her. No promises on human form though.

LJ POV

"He isn't the brightest Alpha is he?" He asked me.

"No sir he is not. I am glad he let me go though. We wouldn't have been able to have this talk if I hadn't of thought to text Kayli. I am glad she came." I told him.

"So how have you been? Its been a while. Your so grown up now. How old are you?"

"It's been good. I have to say I have missed you like crazy! I will be turning 18 in June. To be more technical in 22 days. I am really excited!"

"I bet! I remember when you were just a little girl and you would run around with your friends. What were their names? Kailey and Katie I believe. You guys were inseparable. I remember the day your mom had to literally pry you guys apart. Good times."

"Yes they were. But I dont have any idea where they are. Katie went to live with her dad after her mom and him got into a big fight, which is wierd because mates never seperate. I dont even know anything about Kailey anymore. To be honest I'm not even sure thats her name."

"Hopefully one day you guys will reunite and be a family again."

"Speaking of family, how is mom doing? I havent seen her since I was little when she left me with those people. I know it was tonprotect me but I really miss her. Is she okay?"

"She really wanted to come but I told her not to because it would cause a scene."

"I understand. I must be getting back before my mate geta all hunky dorey and goes all wolf on this shit."

"You still have your language from the last time I saw you. But I have to say I am not suprised." He said gettig up Nd pulling me ito a hug.

Somewhere along the way we sat down and just talked. It was nice. But I really needed to get back to Jordan. My wolf was going crazy so his must be ten times worse. His is probably on the verge of a break down. Mine would be to but not with family around. She was obviously calmer then him.

"I love you." I whispered to him. I felt a tear being shed but quickly wiping it away. He didnt need to see me like this.

"I love you more." He said.

"Not possible!" I said hugging him tighter. "I have to go. I hope to see you soon." I pulled out of the hug and walked away, already feeling the coldness from leaving him.

"Wait! Lucy! I have a suprise for you but you cant open it til later tonight. You must wait til your mate is asleep." He handed me a small envelope. It was bulging a bit.

"Thank you. I didnt get you anything though." I said stuffing it in my back pocket pulling my shirt down to cover it.

"Thats fine dear. Seeing you was the perfect gift." He hugged me once again.

"Lucy!" Jordan yelled. I whippd round to see a very pissed off Jordan.

"You need to leave. Please hurry! I dont want him to hurt you!" I whispered while turnig back to face the only person left to tell me about my family. Without him I wouldn't know anything.

"I'm gone. I will keep in touch." He said running down the hallway. Jordan ran past me obviously going after him. No! He can't! What do I do.

"OW! SHIT MY ANKLE!" I yelled so Jordan could hear me. He immediately stopped and ran back to me.

"Baby are you okay? What's wrong? Who hurt you?" He asked panicking. Once I got the heads up from my inside source, about my family, that he was gone I started laughing.

"Thank god thats over!" I said.

"What's over? We need to get help for your ankle." Jordan said picking me up and headed for the parking lot where we parked.

"Its nothing. I just had a sharp pain in my ankle. I'm all better now." I told him. He set me down and I started walking.

"Thats a nice butt of yours." he said followig me. My eyes went wide remembering the gift I had just received.

"Get up here! I want to hold your hand." I told him. He caught up to me and grabbed my hand. "Much better."
