Chapter 34

McKaila Pov

She just ran out! She doesn't like me! I knew she wouldn't! Why would she! I am just a stupid 4 year old rogue! Daddy is gonna be mad! He said I was perfect and then she runs out! Not even looking at me! Am I that big of a disgust?!

I let go of my daddy's leg and ran into my new room. It was a few rooms down from daddys. He hasn't been in there much since mommy went into the coma. I hope she doesn't mind me calling her mommy! She probably will since I am not her real child. Her baby was lost! The baby didnt even get to be born. They said it was an accident but I wonder what really happened.

"McKaila? Darling whats wrong?" Daddy asked. He came in and sat next to me.

"Daddy! She doesn't love me! She hates me!" I said crying into his shoulder.

"No. Baby she doesn't know about you yet. She just woke up today. You got here a week ago. Give her some time. She will love you!" He said rubbing my back.

"Then why did you yell at her? She was only joking. I dont know her and I could tell that."

"Its complicated dear."

"I will be right back!" I yelled before running out of the room. I couldn't tell him where I was going because he wouldn't want me to go.

I ran down the stairs and out the door. I shifted into my tiny wolf and ran for her scent. I caught her scent and followed it. It lead into the clearing daddy showed me earlier this week. In the middle of the field laid a golden wolf. She was beautiful.

Slowly I walked up to her. When I was by her I could tell she was sleeping. Why? I dont know. I walkes all the way over tp her and laid down next to her.

JORDAN POV

I had this crazy feeling telling me that McKaila wasn't going to be back, so when she left I slowly followed her. She shifted into her tiny chocolate brown wolf and ran in the direction Lucy ran. I mean Monica? She approached a clearing.

There was a golden wolf in the middle of it. Lucy. McKaila walked over to her and laid down by her. To my surprise Lucy didnt do anything, meaning she is asleep.

I walked up to McKaila and laid by her nudging her in the tummy to let her know I was there. She jumped up and growled until she seen it was me. She calmed down and laid back down next to Lucy. I probably should be letting Lucy know I was by her but she just seems different. Maybe it is because of me? I dont know why but I just have that feeling in my gut.

McKaila soon fell asleep by Lucy. I called Scott to bring in some clothes or a couple blankets. When he got here he picked up McKaila and wrapped her in a blanket. I picked up Lucy and wrapped her in the other blanket.

We started walking back and both of them shifted. Lucy was all tensed up but soon relaxed after McKaila shifted back to human, then she shifted. I wonde why she was so tense. Maybe because she thought McKaila was a threat. I dont know, but we dont have to worry about that right now.

Scott walked into the pack house and took McKaila to her room. I took Lucy to our room, which she might not like when she wakes. I set her on the bed and went to leave.

"Stay." said a small voice behind me. I turned around and Lucy was sitting up in the bed looking at me. "Please." I shut the door then walked over to the bed and sat down on the end of it. She sighed before laying down and mumbling something, I couldn't hear.

I sat there and watched her. She seemed really tense. Maybe I should stop watching her? I looked away and felt the bed move. I looked back over to Lucy but she wasn't there. The bedroom door was wide open.
