Adrian hit his fist on his desk as hard as he could. On that afternoon he was cursing at himself for being so foolish. Whoever had found “The book of Gallowaton” had probably already turned it in to Croper and told on Adrian, he thought.
He stood faced to the window and looking out at the fields. The clouds started to come in and hide the light of the sun. It started with a single raindrop then became a big shower of rain. Adrian wanted to run out in the rain and never look back. Ever since these people had come to earth they have only brought grief to Adrian. He carried a lot of hatred towards them.
While Adrian was busy with his thoughts Sarah slipped in through the open door.
“Are you crazy!” she shouted.
Adrian didn’t answer he just looked down at the floor.
“They could kick you out” Sarah continued.
“Well maybe that’s a good thing” Adrian answered back.
Sarah looked down at the cluttered desk.
“You clearly don’t know how to be tidy.”
“I was looking for something, okay” Adrian said irritated.
It was silent in the room for a while until Sarah started to talk again.
“What did jail keeper Angrold do to you after he transported you out of the cafeteria?” Sarah asked curiously.
“Jail keeper?” Adrian said completely clueless.
Sarah sighed and put her hand on his shoulder.
“I know you’re new here, but try to keep up. That man that took you is jail keeper Angrold.”
“Why is he called jail keeper?”
“I don’t know. Everybody just calls him that.”
“Angrold was going to take me somewhere where he would teach me a lesson. When we were approaching the place I heard growling.”
“Growling?”
“Yes, like a beast or something.”
After a while of pondering Adrian came to a conclusion.
“I have to get that book back” Adrian said determined.
“What book?” she sighed.
Adrian sat down on his bed and told Sarah about the book and about the weaponries room. He also told about the hidden room and that there was no information about it.
“It said I had to check the book “Captivity rooms” and you said that Angrold was a jail keeper. So it means there is a prisoner in Gallowaton” Adrian told.
“What has this got to do with us?” Sarah asked “why don’t we just forget about it.”
“Nobody told you to get involved” Adrian said arrogantly.
Sarah didn’t say anything, she just started look a little angry.
“If we are going to find the book we need the “The book of Gallowaton” to tell us where it might be” Sarah finally said.
“It was written there is a room with a collection of books, but I didn’t see where” Adrian informed.
Sarah sat down next to Adrian and said “After you went then Mrs. Widepep took us outside the building and showed us the fields. The only one that wasn’t there was…”
“…Roger” Adrian said finishing Sarah’s sentence.
He ran out of the room with Sarah on his tail. Out in the corridor Flynn Greyson stood with his Gameboy. Flynn was a complete gaming nerd. The moment he arrived at Gallowaton he started moaning about not having any gaming technology.
