Chapter 6

Thomas walked down the long hall when he saw Naiki leave dr. Cheezit's cell. "Hey Naiki." Thomas waved. Naiki looked back and waved back. Thomas walked over to Naiki, "want to talk?" Thomas asked. Naiki shrugged "sure." Thomas and Naiki started to walk down the hallway once again as they talked. Thomas actually didn't like Naiki, Thomas's gut always told him something wasn't right about Naiki. But, he had asked to join their team and was very skilled at hand to hand combat so, Thomas had let him in. As they walked down the hall, they heard the sounds of fighting in the room to their right. "What the hell?" Thomas opened the door to see Sarah and David fighting. "You shouldn't have brought him in!" David yelled as he tackled Sarah. She pushed him off of her "he was injured! We shouldn't just leave somebody to die!" Sarah jumped ontop of David and punched him. Thomas walked into the room "stop!" They both stopped as his voice echoed through the room. David looked at Thomas and walked over to him, "you gotta stop her! She's brought in some injured person without your permission!" He exclaimed. Sarah walked over too "he was on the verge of death! If I hadn't done it he would've bled out!" She stood infront of Thomas beside David, waiting for what he was going to say next. "Well, i don't see why we shouldn't let a injured human in" Thomas said. David looked at him, "actually he-" Sarah blocked his mouth and muffled what David said "yes. He's human. Right David?" She wrapped her arm around his throat and moved her hand away from his mouth. She choked him slightly, "y-yea. He's a human" he said in defeat and fear. Thomas shrugged what he saw off "well, i guess you better let me see him." He smiled. David and Sarah both looked at the smile and blushed lightly. "O-of course." Sarah said as she quickly walked over to a door and started to fumble with the door knob. By the time Thomas walked over, Sarah had opened the door and was already turning on the light and moving over to where this mystery patient was. Thomas walked over to the man, his face was bandaged and nothing but blood stained every spot of it. "Who is he?" Thomas looked at Sarah. She opened her mouth to say something but, the man spoke in a deep and raspy voice first. "My name is not important yet. You will call me James for now." The bandages mumbled his words slightly but, the hunters could still understand what he was saying. The bandaged man slowly sat up and new blood started to stain his bandages "and I have no need to know your names, for i know them already. I have met you all before and but, because of your actions, I will never be able to see you again." Thomas looked at Sarah. She shrugged. "But, know this hunters. There's a man waiting to escape, and he has helpers. Watch your backs or the people you love may perish." The masked man started to chuckle but, it quickly turned into and insane laugh that caused the bandages to be stained from the large amounts of blood coming from the patients mouth. Thomas looked at Sarah then at David. "Let's leave this madman to his ramblings." They all left the room. The masked man who wanted to be called James smiled but, the smile would've never shown despite it stretching across his face. "Your time is close to ending Thomas and a Phoenix will rise from you ashes. Your end is nigh and the rise of him is here..."
