They say it's in the air
I've learned no other feeling can compare
It's the only thing that can cause both joy and despair
I feel as though it will answer my every prayerI met someone who makes me feel complete
She makes me feel warm and her lips taste sweet
Our spark makes a familiar heat
Little did I know that she would greet my love with deceitMy lover thought of me as more of a toy
Someone to kill time with and who's flattery to enjoy
And if she needed something, I was a convenient errand boy
Unfortunately, when my feelings got serious all I did was annoyMaybe I breathed in a little too much, because I'm starting to choke
Her statements of love for me were quite easy for her to revoke
I guess this relationship was always a joke
In the end, the foundation we built went up in smoke
