The trip to the Toy store was going pretty well. Jack was turning down very few toys, including a box full of 'Magic' sand, and remote controlled helicopter. Jack was buying about anything else Jay wanted. While Jay was busy with picking out Dinosaur figures, and Lego sets, Jack was picking out sets of books, and puzzles. Things that could hopefully mask some basic vocabulary and numbers, under enough colors and cartoons, that Jay would enjoy them.

It was reaching a point where Jack had to ask the Cashier to hold stuff, as toy stores didn't have buggies to fill. Once it was reaching that point, Jack draws in Jay's attention. "One more buddy. Only one more toy for now. We can come back and get more if you're good." Jack nods.

Jay nods and looks all around, like he was over whelmed by the store, and everything he hadn't looked at yet. Jack follows Jay around, as the boy looks at everything again. But finally stops in front of a locked glass case. The walls beside the case were lined with video game cases for every kind of console. Jack had an Xbox, but was wondering what use it could be to Jay.

"Color?"

Jack looks back down at Jay, "What color?"

"Nooo. Color." Jay taps the class case, pointing inside at different consoles. Next to hand held game systems was a few tablets. The one Jay pointed to had a coloring app pulled up, it's stylus sat next to it.

"Oh. Yeah buddy. That's for coloring. And lots of other stuff." Jack leans in, reading the tag next to the tablet. It had a thick, red rubber case around the small flat screen with colorful handles. It could download any app, with all kinds of parental controls, and could even video chat.

"Want." Jay presses both flat hands against the case.

Jack chews his lip. "You sure buddy? You want this?" Jack had no idea if Jay would be able to get much use out of this thing.

"Yeh! Peeaaass," Jay looks up with big eyes.

Jack nods and waves to the worker behind the counter.

She comes around with a smile, "He decide on the last thing?"

"Yup. He's not letting me leave here without moving down a tax bracket," Jack laughs abit.

--------

Jack sets Jay down at the table and puts a plate of chicken nuggets and grapes in front of the boy.

"Play!" Jay squirms but eats one nugget.

"You can play later. Eat lunch, then you need to nap." Jack moves back into the kitchen and starts putting away the rest of his groceries which had shown up at his door while he was out.

"Plaaay!" Jay watches Jack as he eats.

"Later Jay." Jack nods as he stocks his cabinets with all his new food. Jack busies himself breaking all the shipping packages down into recyclable piles and shoving them into big sacks. "Jay, I'm gonna put these in the car." When he looks out past the counter, the dining table was vacant.

Jack scowls, "Jay! Where are you?" He moves out into the living room, watching Jay rummage through the unpacked bags of toys. "Jay, go eat your lunch."

"Did!" Jay nods and starts pulling everything out.

Jack stops him, shoving toys back into sacks. "You didn't finish. You need to finish your plate, then it's nap time."

"Plaaay!" Jay tugs on the sack.

"Jay, knock it off." Jack takes his Jay's hands, and the boy squirms, whining. "Do you need a time out?"
