Important Note - I know it's had a few false starts in the past few years. I have come to a better place in my life. Some people may have been put off by the 3 year narrative jump. I apologize for that.
The 'Transition/Percy' Arc will go on for a couple chapters and then cut back to back flashes of important times for Jack and Jay, and how Kurt became part of the family. I thought it would be a more interesting way to tell this long narrative then to drag out the natural progression in real time.
The goal for the story is to either finish, or come close to finishing, and then take it, massively edit and clean it up and make it better and more cohesive. Then see if there is any viability for another story.
If anyone has any questions or complaints go ahead and direct them towards me or on the ask-babyjay . tumblr .com and I will actively be answering comments like I did in the past.-Narrative Start-
Kurt sits in a stiff chair, clutching a boarding pass and his phone, with a small piece of luggage is at his feet. He watches the mounted screen with all the planes and as the time ticks down for his to land. Then again for boarding.
"Boarding for flight to Buffalo New York...Boarding for flight to Buffalo New York."
Kurt hops up, bag and ticket in hand. Realistically he knows it doesn't matter how fast he gets on and sits. The plane wouldn't take off any sooner just because he was ready. But still he shuffles along in line, getting his ticket scanned and boarding through the little tunnel. He is stuck with a last-minute aisle seat. It was a small thought in his head that the seat would really suck for the 7-hour flight and that he was going to be miserable by the end. But right now, he is too excited.
Well excited might not be the best word. Anxious is better. Nervous and trying to tamp down his excitement just in case. But his hopes are higher than average. This time unlike the few trips he had gone on in the past he was highly likely to return home with his pet. Because this time he would pay for them.
Not just a basic adoption fee for that state. But a hefty sum for a never homed pet.
Once the plane is up, Kurt opens his Email again and scrolls through them, rereading.
"" Mr. O'Hare,
I am Amalie at The August Avon Starter Home. We would like to alert you to stay close to your phone in the coming days, 3 to 4 days. You will receive a call with further instruction. """"Mr. O'Hare,
After our initial call we at August Avon will be moving forward in the adoption process with you as the first choice upon the official cancellation of the intended family. """"Hello August Avon,
I am conservatively excited to meet you in all in New York. I have just booked my flight and will land there around 3 am New York time. I have booked a room in your instructed hotel. """"Hello Mr. O'Hare.
I am Abigail. We will be arriving in New York a few hours before you. We find it best that everyone gets ample rest before we meet tomorrow.
Percival has been made fully aware of his new homing situation. He has been handling it well so far and reacted well to the photo's you sent us. Thank you and fly safe.""""Hello,
I agree, rest will be important. I don't want to stress Percival or you all. I enjoyed the photo's you all sent as well. He's beautiful.
See you tomorrow.""Kurt takes a deep breath through his nose and then breaths out as he leans back in the chair. He takes his water bottle and preemptively takes two Advil.
Having downloaded episodes of a couple of podcasts and a few books he tries his best to get comfortable and listen to some comedy and drama.
At landing he is miserably jet lagged and sore. But his phone Data surges back to life so he checks it on his Uber to the Hotel.
