School started..

-------------------------------------------------------

We were in our seats. I got the window seat.

I tried to keep myself from looking outside, knowing I would make eye contact with Harry and just burst into tears.

Sophie held my hand and sqeezed it, giving me a weak smile.

I just sighed and nodded. Looking at my feet, waiting for the plane to take off.

I risked a glance out of the window, immediately regretting it.

Harry was crying on Liam's shoulder.

I frowned. Was he crying because I was leaving?

Was he actually going to miss me?

I shook my head, wiping away a couple of tears.

"Hey, it's okay." Sophie smiled at me, "Those months will fly by, don't worry."

"Look." I mentioned to Harry and Liam, "What is this? This is just fùcking with my mind!"

"Hey, calm down. Cass, he's crying because he'll miss you." She rubbed my back, "He lo--"

"Don't say it!" I clamped my hand over her mouth, "Don't."

She nodded, "Just calm down. It's okay to cry."

I nodded. I looked at her again. She was hilding back the tears. She hated crying. Her parents always told her crying was wrong.

I hugged her, whispering to her that it's gonna get better and soothing her uneven breathing.

Eventually, the plane took off. We watched a few movies and chatted a bit.

She told me what Liam and her did when they weren't with us. I told her about everything that happened when she wasn't there.

"We're almost there." She said, checking the time.

I sighed, "I really don't wanna go back home."

"What? Why not?" She rested her head on my shoulder.

"I don't know." I shrugged, "It's not gonna be good."

"What do you mean?" She looked at me.

"Mom's got a boyfriend, now." I said.

"What?" Her jaw dropped.

I nodded, "She's got a boyfriend."

"Holy crap." She whispered, "Dad's got a girlfriend, too.."

"What? Who? When?" I asked.

"Uhm.. three days ago, I think."

My jaw dropped, "Mom met the guy three days ago."

We just stared at each other, our eyes the size of golf balls.

-----------------------------

"Home!" Sophie threw her hands up as we walked out of the airport.

As we waited for mom to come pick us up, I noticed there was a man pacing back and forth behind me and Sophie, his eyes glued to our bodies.

I turned around and gave him a disgusted look, hoping that would stop him. Instead, it made him step closer.

"What's your problem?!" Sophie shouted when he got a little too close to her liking.

He kept his gaze on her chest, licking his lips.
