Chapter Thirteen

"Oh, and, don't do anything on that couch; it's my favourite!" Niall said whilst walking out.

Harry looked at me as I spoke, "He said not here, so do you wanna go somewhere else?"

"As tempting as that sounds, I'm good right here."

Directly following his words he took me off his lap and laid me down on the sofa. He looked hotter than usual hovering above me and I wanted him so bad.

"Please?" I begged with a puppy dog pout.

He chuckled, "You want to experience vamp sex don't you?"

I chewed my bottom lip between my teeth. "Only if it's with you."

Harry sighed, hanging his head. This really confused me. Considering he'd been going on and on about how he really did love me, I figured he'd want it as much as I did (probably more since he's a male).

"What's wrong?" I asked, bring my hand to his face and gently stroking his cheek with my thumb.

"It's just that... You drank my blood and... There's this thing..."

"What thing?"

"Well, it's kind of like a bond, so to speak. Vampires don't just share blood with each other, they do it when they're in love and it bonds them to that person. If they're a vampire, they'll reciprocate the gesture and their bond will be unbreakable."

"You want me to let you-"

"No. I don't want you to do that, not now at least. We've only just begun this."

"Harry, we've done this for over a millennia. I don't remember all of it, but I know that we didn't meet by means of coincidence. There has to be some reasoning behind it."

"Do you remember the first time we met? And I mean the very first time we met, not when I took you away from your school."

"You mean when you kidnapped me?"

"I prefer the term borrowing a person and not returning them."

"Well, I- no, I don't."

"The first time we met was 3 March, 300 b.c."

"Dear god, I'm ancient."

Harry laughed, "So am I. But do you remember what happened that day?"

I shook my head and he continued on with his story as he moved my legs so they were overtop of his on the sofa.

"I got into the crossfire, so to speak, of my father and another man who was demanding to marry my older sister. My father didn't approve and neither did I. So, I went out to defend my dad and the man came at me with a spear, stabbing me directly in the heart. I was killed almost instantly, but you had seen everything and came to see if I was okay. When you noticed that I was dying quicker than possible to stop-"

"I gave you my blood..."

"You remember?"

"It's a bit blurry, but yes. I just can't believe that I was the one that turned you."

"You didn't just turn me, you saved my life."

"Wait, does that mean that we're bonded?"

"From my knowledge, no. We have to both already be vampires when we share blood. Neither of us were when you saved me."

"Then how did it work?"

"Your blood was already spellbound by the forces of nature and the magic of Lilura. So, I just became a vampire whilst you stayed a human."

"What happened to me? Why am I here now in the twenty-first century and just turning myself? Did something happen to me?"

"Yeah... You, um... You... Err, you died."

"What?!"

"That's why you're with us; so we can protect you."

"Protect me from what?"

"The hunters. They want you dead and they'll stop at nothing to see it through."

My body instantly tensed up. There were people that wanted to kill me. Plus, now Eliodoro has gone missing and who knows what he's evil thing planning to do after the wedding scenario.

"Don't worry, love; as long as your with us we won't let them get to you."

"How can you be sure?"

"Because we all love you. We'd lay down our lives for you if it came to it."

Well, now I'm just a bit freaked out. I don't even know who these hunters are, let alone what they look like. What if they do find me and kill me?

Harry got up and offered his hand to me. "C'mon, let's get you to bed."

"I'm not a child, Harry; I can do it myself."

"I didn't say to sleep, I just said to bed," he winked.

I punched his arm playfully.

"You perv."
