Just feeding Mason his breakfast when Mom yelled from her computer room that someone was here in a silver Jeep. I raised my eyebrow to think of who would be coming in a silver Jeep since I didn't know of anyone who had one. Within seconds a knock came to the door.

"Mom, can you please get that I'm still getting Mason ready?" I asked as Mom came out of the computer room and went to the front door to answer it.

"Me-Me....Me-me." Mason cried jumping up and down in his play pin while looking past me.

"Hey there Mon-tee." I heard Missy said behind me and my heart dropped as I turned around.

"MISSY!" I cried as I ran to her.

"Sup sis." Missy said. "Is Mom going with us...Jessica called me and told me that she wasn't feeling good so she wont be able to go?" Missy asked as we both looked at Mom not noticing Dad was standing in the door way of their room.

"Go ahead honey, I'm pretty sure she's going to need you after everything is said and done." Dad said as Mom looked at him.

"Do I have time to get ready?" Mom asked as Missy shook her head yes.

"Yep since Jessica isn't going." Missy said as Mom nodded and headed to her bedroom. "So where is Mason's car seat?" She asked before picking Mason up in her arms and looked at his leg braces.

"It's over here I'll take it to the Jeep along with his diaper bag." I said wanting to avoid her question about his leg braces because I knew she wouldn't understand.

"I'll follow you to put him in." Missy said as I nodded as we walked out of the door and headed to the Jeep.

"So is this your new boyfriends Jeep?" I asked.

"Nope...it's a dear friend of mines, he's best friends with my boyfriend." Missy said as Billy got out of the driver side and opened the back door for us. "He's friends with Billy too." She added as I nodded and placed Mason's car seat in and buckled it in.

"Here hand him to me I'll put him in." I said as she shook her head no.

"I got him...go back into the house and get the rest of your stuff that you need." Missy said as I cocked a smile before turning to Billy and hugging him then seen Mom come out.

"Go ahead and get in I have your pocket book." Mom said as I opened the passenger side door and climbed in and buckled up.

We all sat in silence for a while. I was still thinking about everything that was going to happen today. I was scared but I knew it had to be done and I was in desperate need of a cigarette. I guess Billy knew it too so he turned on the heater and cracked the driver and passenger side window and handed me a Marlboro Menthol black 100 cigarette.

"Thank you...was it that obvious?" I asked as he nodded. "So why is it that you came for me?" I asked.

"Jessica called me earlier this morning and told me that you needed a ride to Asheville, and Joe over heard our conversation and told me that we could take his car to come get you." Billy said as I looked confused.

"This isn't a car Billy and what Joe are you talking about?" I asked.

"Old Man Joe, he's the Uncle of our friend." Missy said as I nodded. "And...once he got up and noticed we was going to take Joe's car he told Billy no...just to take the Jeep since Joe's car needed to be worked on." She added.

"I don't think I've ever met any of Joe's family." I said as Billy shook his head yes.

"Yes, you have...his nephew was your first boyfriend...Joe's got pictures." Billy said as I raised my eyebrow.
