Kanika's POV

I fell of the bed with a loud thump! I rubbed my eyes and groaned as pain shot throughout my body. I poked my head up only to see a half naked Mkhail. His large body took almost all the bed and he was snoring loudly.

I got up hastily and clutched my pillow, slamming it in his face. He growled in his sleep before waking up and glaring at me.
"You kit!" Kit meant kitten, which was used as an insult, considering kittens were small and weak.
"What I do?" He mumbled.
"Mkhail! You pushed me off the damn bed! I was having a great dream!"

Mkhail sat up and yawned.
"All because of a stupid dream." He gritted.
"No! You pushed me off and now my ass hurts!" I yelled, very much annoyed.
"Not my fault you had it too hard."

He winked at me with a huge smirk on his face. I looked at him with a face of pure disgust. I couldn't help but punch his chest. He whined and rubbed at the spot I hit, then slapping my arm.

Mkhail and I started to fight. We even started ripping pillows, and that woke up Aisha, who was a cat right now. She played with the feathers from the pillows while Mkhail and I tried ripping each other to shreds.

"For Ra's sake, I'd like to get some damn sleep." My mom said loudly. Aisha let out a weak 'meow' and I punched Mkhail one last time, right in his nose. He whimpered slightly as a small trail of blood ran down his nostril.

"Clean up and go to sleep, you're all leaving tomorrow and need the sleep. Understood?" My mom added.
"Yes Aunty Mafdet." Mkhail said. I nodded and Aisha bounced her tail, it was her way of saying yes.

My mom walked out of my room, slamming the door.

Mkhail clenched his fists, taking in a deep breath. He had temper problems, and that was how he was managing them lately.

I loved the boy, but he could be annoying as hell.

The three of us, Aisha now turning into her human, cleaned up the room quickly, as we really wanted to sleep.

Mkhail wiped his nose with a tissue and even stuck it up there, making me snort.
"You look like an ass." I mocked.
"Ditto." He replied, sticking his tongue out. Aisha giggled and turned into a cat, and accommodated her little cat self inside a box.

I sat on the bed, staring at the lotus tattoo on my skin. I was slightly startled by the dream with my lotus on it, especially by the man's voice. It wasn't scary or anything though. His voice was melodious and I'd love to hear it again. Thankfully, it was recorded onto my mind and it repeated itself over and over again in my mind.

Ace's POV

I woke up in my bathtub, almost freezing. Never again was I falling asleep in a bathtub, the once hot water was now freezing my tattooed body.

I got up and wrapped a towel around my waist, I don't care about drenching my house. I went to my room and rummaged through the drawers til I found a white, slightly transparent t-shirt and some jeans. I pulled on some tennis shoes and went outside.

I wanted to go to the pond. I was going to the pond.

I turned into my huge wolf, which was grey and had blue eyes like me. I ran through the forest. It was almost pitch black, the only illumination available being the moon.

I ran and ran til I found a small pond. I jumped into the cold water, searching for a lotus.

How could a lotus be so important?, I thought to myself. It was true. I wasting my time looking for a dumb plant.

"It's not dumb." Tucker complained.
"It was a dream, that's all." I replied, rolling my eyes.
"It's much more than that, I bet."

I didn't reply and just trudged out of the water, then going into full sprint as Tucker forced me into looking for another pond.

Robyn's POV

I had agreed to help the scouts since one of them was sick. It was about 1:00 PM and the sun was scorching. Ace still hadn't woken up.

Ace had sleeping problems, everyone knew. But nobody spoke to him about it. The doctors in the pack told me about it, and I told the pack to not mention anything about it, and that if he was gone or late to things, I was here to help.

Ace wasn't taking his pills. Some days he would and on others he just wouldn't. I cared a lot for the boy, but the doctors had also told me how much he hated that sleeping condition so I felt I'd bother him by making him take them.

And anyways, he does his job well. The pack has enough protection, food and members thanks to him. He works a lot, but when he's not working he's by himself. I've noticed he doesn't have the usual connection between an Alpha and their pack.

I loved Ace a lot, and it hurted me he was like this.

"Robyn, you alright?" Asked one of the scouts. I nodded.
"The Alpha is around here, his scent is about to fade. Should we look for him?" Asked the same scout, sniffing at the air.
I picked it up too, so I just followed it while the scouts trailed behind me too.

And there he lay. The giant black wolf I called Ace lay there sleeping profoundly. I couldn't help but smile at the sight. He was so cute. Ace looked so peaceful...I could just cuddle him up and kiss him silly.

What was I thinking?!?! I had a boyfriend, Thomas, and I was very happy being with him! But honestly, Ace Collins was so hot.

I pinched myself and walked to him. He laid next to a small pond, his paw slightly emerged in the water. I knelt down next to him and patted his head.

"Wake up, Alpha." I said. He kept sleeping so I shook him and it took minutes just to wake him up. Ace slowly opened his eyes and growled.

You'd think it was only because he was being woken up he'd growl at me but it wasn't new. Sometimes, I think he didn't like me. But Ace wasn't like that. He was kind, just distant. He was a loner, everyone knew and nobody wasn't fixing that, yet. And in that moment, I figured something out.

Ace was alone. It didn't matter that he was the Alpha of a big pack. He was alone. He's always been.

I was going to fix Ace.
