XVI. IN DEFEAT WE WIN

"Dawn!" I rushed to the door and gave Dawn a hug as she arrived. As promised, she came over to Shangri-la to meet me. I made sure, meanwhile, that we were going to have such a special time together.

As we let go of each other from a very tight embrace, I pulled her to the round table I prepared. "I got beef tenderloin for us, Dawn. Tara, let's have dinner. Alam kong pagod ka," I offered.

"Thank you, Richard. Na-miss kita sobra!" she told me as she placed her bag on the table. Before she took a seat, however, she smiled at me and expressed, "Na-miss talaga kita! Payakap nga ulit!" And who was I to refuse? I opened my arms widely so that she could come and we hugged tightly once again.

"Na-miss din kita nang sobra, Dawn! Ikaw yakap lang? Ako, pahalik nga!" we giggled as those  words came out of my mouth. Not denying how much we felt, our lips landed on each other for a smack kiss. "MWUAH!" it sounded deliciously.

After that, we took a seat and got ready to eat our special dinner. I poured two glasses of wine, one for myself and one for Dawn. She smiled at me and asked, "How are you, Richard? Hindi ka na ba malungkot?" Though I still was, I tried to forget everything for the mean time as I enjoyed a rare moment alone with my woman. "Mamaya na natin pag-usapan yan, Dawn ha? Ang mahalaga nandito ka na," I told her. "Oh kain ka na oh. Susubuan kita. Aaahhh," and then she parted her mouth so she could get the slice of beef I offered.

We finished our meal doing so: feeding each other, raising our glass of wine, and giving each other the sweetest smiles you could ever imagine. It was indeed a romantic dinner.

Coming out of the bathroom, I saw Richard opening another bottle of wine. He had so much already. Aba may balak atang maglasing 'to, I thought. So I rushed towards him, planted a kiss on his cheeks from behind, and rubbed his shoulders down to his chest as he sat down. "Hindi yan matatapos sa paglalasing. Kausapin mo ako," I told him, still continuing the movement of my hands. When he sighed, I moved forward and sat on his lap with my arms wrapped around his neck. I forced him to look directly in my eyes by touching his chin. I told him, "Ang lungkot mo. Ayokong nakikita kang ganyan."

"Masakit kasi yung pagkatalo ko, Dawn e," he confessed while touching my thigh gently as I sat comfortably on his lap. "Ang sakit, sakit, sakit, sak---," hearing him say words of pain was unbearable so I put my finger on the surface of his lips to stop him from talking. Quickly, I slouched a bit for my lips to reach his. We then breathed as one as he kissed me back. I stroked his hair and he touched my face as the kissing went on. He could feel the taste of   my gloss and I could feel the softness of his own lips. Lasted for about 10 seconds, it all stopped when Richard's phone rang beside us. "Sagutin mo na," I told him. "Mamaya na," he replied as he tried to chase my lips again. But I refused and left his lap for him to talk to whoever was calling.

"Halika na," Richard hugged me from behind after the call. As I stared out the window with my arms crossed, I let him plant smack kisses around my neck. "Tama, halika na umuwi na tayo," I murmured. "Ha? Bakit? Akala ko ba sasamahan mo ako dito?" he asked looking so surprised and continued tickling my neck with his hungry kisses. "Tinawagan ka na ng asawa mo diba? Umuwi ka na. Itigil na natin 'to," I said with my voice turning brittle and my lips pouting. Richard then pulled me by the waist, making me face him once again. "Nagseselos ka na naman ba? Ikaw naman ang gusto kong makasama e. Hindi siya," he comforted me while running his fingers all over my face. "Kaya tama na yan ha? Halika na," he whispered into my ears as he took me back to the table.
