Chapter 21: the Monster

Klaus's POV:

I was out on the balcony and looking at the beautiful city then I heard crying coming from veronicas room.I didn't mind it and I put on dark grey sweats and a black v neck and started heading downstairs for water and a blood bag. Then I see her sitting there crying. "What are you doing out here at this time of night love?" Sh got up and wiped her tears but they kept going." I'm sorry I'll go back to my room." I grabbed her arm and we looked at each other in silence. She pulled away and then walked off. At first I wanted to stop her but I couldnt.

Stefan's POV:

After the argument was done I tried and find my wife then I ran into Auro. "Why isn't Stefan let me guess your trying to find my daughter." "Yes I am and either you get out of my way or I'll kill you." "Now now no need for violence I just came to find you and give you this." He gave me a white oak stake. "Why are you giving me this." "So you can save my daughter she might hate me but I had to leave for my duties her mother knew that and I would like for you to tell her that for me because it seems she listens to you." Then he vanished before I can say a word I tried calling Damon but it went straight to voicemail. So I took the liberty of calling Tyler.

Damon's POV:

I looked at the rod in my chest bleeding out I'm weak and then Klaus came in and removed it and gave me blood. "Why are you doing this." "Well I want you to see someone." He unlocked me and gives me clothes I looked at him in confusion. " there is a bathroom down the hall you have 15 minutes my gaurds will give you more blood and they will take you to her room don't try and run or I will rip your head off and slaughter you to pieces." I nodded and went to the shower and it felt nice and I got changed to black sweat and a black T-shirt and my boots and his gaurds gave me blood which tasted so good. We were up the stairs then they opened a door and I see Ron. "Ron! Oh my god are you okay did he hurt you." I hugged her so tight and she hugged me back god did I miss her. "No Dam he didn't I'm okay he has been taking care of me even though he kidnapped me and snapped my neck." She gave off the slightest smiles which I know she's hurt and she's been crying I whip the tears and hugged her. "Im here now okay no more crying." I rubbed her back hoping she'll be okay.

Ronnie's POV:

I was crying on my desk and I heard the door open and I see Damon oh my god I'm glad he is alive I ran and gave him a hug I missed him so much. He made sure I was okay and whipped my tears away I'm glad he is with me right now."why are you here Damon and why did you leave." "Klaus has kept me here i got my nek snapped in the woods and I was upset because I felt bad for turning you." "Klaus let you in why?" "Because love you couldn't stop crying so I thought he would and it worked." "Thank you klaus so much can he please stay here tonight." I looked at him and Damon and he looked at me. "Yes but only for tonight." I walked over and gave him a hug. "You might actually not be the monster everyone says you are after all." I smiled and hugged her back. "Well I should be going I have work to do my gaurds will watch you and make sure you don't leave." Than he shut the door and locked it. I went over to my bed and layed down and so did Damon. I sat up and looked at him and started crying. I knew we were stuck here he might be a monster now but he will be. He took me away from Stefan. Damons string arms wrapped around me and held me. I missed Stefan.

Damon's pov:

I wrapped my arms around her I knew she missed stefan. And honestly I wanted to tell her to turn it off but it would kill Stefan. I looked at him and she laid her head on my lap all I could do was lightly stroke her hair. Soon enough she fell asleep and I laud her head on a pillow and walked out her door and walked across to Klaus's art room. "Why did you let me see her." He looked at me and went back to his painting. "Well I let you because she was crying and I felt pity and it seems that you made her stop." "Why take her if you knew this was gonna happen and this will happen everyday let her go and torture me and let her go she doesn't deserve this pain." He was now in front of me "I know what I did! I feel that pain because I have watched her since she was a kid I fell in love with her." I looked at him and stood back. "Just let her go." "I can't do that now you either go back to her room or yours down the hall to the right and don't make me change my mind." I nodded and walked back to her room and I shut the door and I sat in the chair and looked at her. I feel so strong for her I just wish she didn't have to feel this pain.

The next morning I went downstairs to make her breakfast and I see Klaus drinking coffee. "Well good morning Damon." I nodded then processed and he walked over and got all the stuff for her breakfast. "Step aside I'll make it you can take it up." I went and sat at the table. Waiting then it was finally done. I smelt blood. I rushed to Ron's room and the bathroom door was locked "Ron! Open up please its me Damon!." I busted down the door to see blood coming from her wrist and she is bleeding out. "No no no Ron stay with me come on." I bit my wrist and gave her my blood and she took it thank god.
