Chapter 41: Stronger

Damon's POV:

After what happened with klaus nothing bad has happened here I still tried to convince Ron to come home but she still needs time. Aleah is graduating here soon and then off to whitmore college I'm so proud of my daughter she is working and going to school most days she comes home sleeping on the couch with homework. I walled into the kitchen to see Aleah there working on her homework. "More homework again." "Yeah crazy right who knew high school would give out so much homework for finals." I laughed and so did she. "Do you work today." "No today is my day off and I have to go get changed for school so I'll see you after school bye dad." She comes over and kisses my cheek and grabs her homework and goes upstairs to change. I started to make food and Stefan walked in and grabbed a cup of coffee. "You happy that Aleah is graduating next week." "Yes I am considering I'm her father and she is really smart which she took from me and her mom and I'm going to be there and yell her name so loud that everyone will know that's my daughter and shouldn't you be going to school too." He finished his drink and out the cup in the sink. "Yeah and Damon." "Yeah?" "Go out and get something for her graduation." With that he walked out the door and he gave me the perfect idea for Aleah.

I went to go see Bonnie and ask her to do something for me. "Hey bonnie you home." She walked in. "Yes Damon what do you need." "I need you to make my daughter a necklace laced with vervain so she can't be compelled and a ring please for her graduation." "I'll see what I can do." "Thanks bon bon." "Damon you are a great father." "Thanks bon bon." I smiled and walked out the door.

Aleah's POV:

Stefan kissed me after I read from Robert Frost. "Marry me." "I cant." We were laying in a meadow with purple and blue flowers. "Why." "My dad won't approve and I have to study finals." "After graduation then." "Stefan if you want to you have yo ask my dad." I get up "besides I have to be back at 6." I grabbed my bag and started heading towards my car.

I shortly arrived back at home to see stefan beat me home. "You cheater you ran here." "How else would I get home." He kissed me on the forehead. I went upstairs to put my bag away and take a shower I grabbed a pair of sweat and Stefan's t shirt. I turned it to hot and I got in and it relaxed my muscles. I got out and changed and out my hair in a loose pony tail and I walked back down stairs for some coffee. "So what are we going today." I looked at stefan and my dad. "Oh nothing." "Ugh as usual." I got up and went to the couch and Stefan threw a dress and a pair of converse on me. "Be ready at 8." I looked at him confused. "Okay." With that he vanished. Well thanks for the short notice and I looked at the clock it was 7 already I rushed up stairs and changed into a dark royal blue lace dress that came mid thigh with the black converse were ankle high and I lightly circled my hair and put on some mascara and I went down stairs to see my dad with a blind fold. He comes and wraps it around my face and I followed him to where ever. "Okay keep your eyes closed when I take off the blindfold you may look okay." "Okay." I felt the blindfold being taken off and I opened my eyes to white lights everywhere and candle lit table for two. "Oh my god this is beautiful." Stefan took my hand and seated me. "This is amazing Stefan." "Not as amazing as you and if you don't mind I ordered you a steak with potatoes and gravy and me the same." "No I don't mind." I smiled and looked at him and Tyler delivered our plates with champine. "Oh thank you Tyler." He poured our glasses. "Have a good evening you two." And he walked off.

After we finished our meal and drank some champagne. "Aleah I'm in love with you. I can't keep it secret anymore. You're just so amazing and beautiful you can make me learn the world from a different perspective and I'm greatful for our little infinity that we have now and I can't see the world without you I wake up everyday wondering how am I so lucky and Aleah." He gets down on one knee next to me and pulls out a ring. "I asked your father and he gave me his blessing so Aleah Grace Salvatore will you do me the honors and make me the happiest man alive and will you marry me.?" I looked at him." Yes. Yes yes yes." He smiled and put the ring on my finger and picked me up and spun me around I was going to be Mrs. Salvatore. "Congratulations guys!" Everyone was here I couldn't help but blush and kiss stefan. "Its only going to happen after graduation though." "Yes dad. And thank you." I go and hug him. "Mom I missed you." "I missed you too." She hugs me and I didn't want to let go. "I'm so happy for you baby girl." "Thanks mama." Everyone gave us hugs and Tyler of course put on music and we danced for the night. Stefan carried me upstairs and layed me on the bed. "Stefan." "Yes baby." "I love you." "I love you too." He kissed me and looks at me. "I'm going to love and protect you." "I know you will and don't stop." And then we fell asleep in each others arms.
