Chapter 44: engagement

Damon's POV:

Today stefan is going to ask my daughter to marry her after her graduation and of course Ron is going to be taking pictures and I'm happy for my daughter. I just wish she didn't grow up so fast.

Aleah's POV:

Today I graduate with Stefan, Elena, Tyler, Matt, Bonnie and Jermey. I put on my dark blue lace dress and black lace heels and then my cap and gown. I looked in the full length mirror and smiled. "You look so beautiful." I turn to see Stefan. "You too handsome." I walked over and fixed his tie. "You ready." "As ready as I'll ever be."

We arrived at the ceremony. I was called up first then stefan elena Caroline Tyler and bonnie and Jeremy. After it was over we walked outside and mom took pictures then I turned and looked at stefan and mom took pictures. "Aleah." "Yes Stefan." "I got you a graduation present." "Well what is it." I smiled and he kneeled down on one knee I covered my face with my hands and started to cry. "Aleah you are the most amazing beautiful girl I ever met and for me to think Id change you will never happen because you changed me and it will make me so happy to change one thing... Your last name. Will you do me the honors and marry me." I smiled and stranded him back up. "Yes." He smiled and put the ring on my finger and kissed me. I was now engaged to the love of my life.

"I got pictures." I ran towards my mom who had printed pictures of me and standing over at the railing he was holding a sign saying "I asked the question of marrying me." Then there was my sign. "And I said yes." I smiled and then there was us looking at each other I smiled so did stefan then the next one was when he kissed me and his cap said she said yes. I couldn't believe what happened today I looked at stefan and he kissed my forehead. "You guys are so adorable." "Thanks mom." "Here." I look at dad and he gave me a box well two. I opened one and it reveled a beautiful opal ring and the bigger box revealed a necklace a opal necklace. "Oh dad you shouldn't have." I walked over and hugged him. "The necklace is laced with vervain so you can't be compelled." "Thanks dad." I put on the necklace and the ring. Give me love by Ed sheeran started to play. "May I have this dance." I turned to see Stefan. I nodded and we walked into the living room and started to slow dance.

Ronnie's POV:

I looked at how my daughter danced with Stefan. "I can't believe she is all grown up." "Me too baby me too." Damon kissed my forehead and we watched how our daughter will have a husband and a family of her own soon. I just wondered where did all the time go. How it had to go by so fast and now my daughter is all grown up and my son is growing up too and damon and I will have eternity together but how long will be forever for them.

Stefan's POV:

We were dancing and I looked at her. How can I be so lucky to have her. She is the one who changed me. She is the one who will love me through everything no matter who I am. I couldn't change her and I couldn't live without her. Even thinking a life without her kills me and she looks through all the bad to the good and I'm so lucky to have her I'm so happy with my choice I just hope she is happy with hers. "Aleah." "Yes Stefan." "I love you." "I love you too." I kiss her and it was passionate and warm and sparks go off like always. "Let's go for a walk." She smiles "okay."

We walked down to the old wickery bridge. "Why are we here Stefan." "Because I want to dance with you and let this night be ours." She takes my hand and put my hand around her waist and we start to dance. It didn't matter if we had music all that mattered was us. "I have one more present for you." I turned her around.

Aleah's POV:

He turns me around to see klaus. "Klaus." I smiled at Stefan and I ran to Klaus and hugged him. "Now love did you think I would miss out on this special occasion." "No but I thought you left for good." "I did until Stefan told me that he was purposing and thought I would make a great engagement gift to you." "Stefan I love you so much." I vamped and kissed him. "You're welcome baby now go dance. I will be back in a little bit I'm hungry." "Okay be safe." He kissed me then was gone. "So may I have this dance." I walked over and started to dance with Niklaus. "You know love I am happy for you and Stefan." "I know I can tell." "You could always tell how I'm feeling love that's just who you are." I smiled and he spun me around. "Yeah I always have been able to I guess its the perks of being the female alpha." "True and also because youre a smart girl." He picks me up and spins me around. "Who has two left feet." I laughed. I looked at him and then I seen someone behind klaus and moved him behind me."who are you." "You never heard of me child perhaps my son can tell you." "Father." "That's your father." Then I was grabbed and held in the air by my throat. I showed my eyes and fangs and I kicked him off of me. I gasped for air and I stood between him and Klaus. "Look at you klaus having a girl protect you." He pushed me behind him. "No she isn't and I suggest you leave here. Mikeal." "I see we will meet again abomination. And congrats on your engagement I will see you too my dear." Then he was gone. Who was that Niklaus." "Someone who has been determined to kill me for centuries. My father." We looked at each other and then stefan came and we looked down the bridge to see him standing there watching us. Then he lit a match and the bridge started to catch fire.
