Chapter 40: Mercy

Aleah's POV:

"Then hurry." I watched how he left to go help Bonnie and my dad. I still layed on the couch and luckily the TV was in the living room. I turned on the TV and turned to the lucky one.

"Why are we watching this." "Because I can and I'm dying." I started coughing up blood I stared into my hand where the blood was. I looked at the wound to see it was starting to get worse I pulled my sleeve back down to cover it up and I took another swing of bourbon. "What's this movie about." "Its about a solider who survives because of a picture of a girl. Her name is Beth. Her brother was in the marines with him. He walked all the way from Colorado to Hampton. Crazy huh just to meet a girl. After signing up to work at her dog kennel he has been trying to tell her what happened and where he found her picture and why he came to Hampton. She has a son with her ex husband his name is keth and their sons name is Ben and through everything with her and keth still tries to make a better life for Ben and one day she started to fall for him and he started to fall for her until one day keth went to his house and found Beth's picture and gave it to her and of course he explained where he found it and how he met her brother and what happened to him. Then later on that night Ben ran away from the drama between keth and beth and it was pouring rain outside and Luke (soilder) saved been and keth got stuck and the treehouse where Ben was feel on him and drownd him. Then beth and Luke fell in love again. The end." "Sounds quite intriguing actually." "Niklaus love is a very powerful thing even someone capable of being loved should be saved. Don't mess that love up because then it will turn into darkness and even the purest hearts are drawn to it." He looked at me and I looked at him and then I coughed up a lot if blood on floor and I felt someone rub my back and I look to see klaus. "Why are you helping me." "Because someone capable of being loved should be saved." He bit his wrist and I drank from his wrist. My wound started to go away. "Thank you" "anytime love" "klaus." We turned to see Caroline still there. "Thank you for saving her." He smiled I know he liked her. I walked over and I walked out of the barrier I was confused because I couldn't leave until they found a way to kill him. He tried but it stopped him. I looked at Caroline confused then I pulled out my cell and called bonnie. "Hey bon how come I can walk out of the barrier but klaus can't." "Wait you got out of the barrier." "Yeah I'm standing next to Caroline in the kitchen." "Someone else let you out." Caroline and I looked at each other and Klaus.

I started to pace back and forth waiting for stefan to get back with bonnie so we can see what the hell is going on. "Babe! Babe!" "I'm in the living room staring at the fuckn barrier in which I'm freaking out because I walked through it but Klaus couldn't." "Its because I let you out." "Aleah meet my mother." I looked at Bonnie's mother and shook her hand. "Thanks for letting me out." "You're much welcome stefan asked me to let you out because you were dying but it looks like he healed you." "Yes I bloody did now left me out of here." "No klaus." Angela please let him go he saved me he is not a bad guy. Please let him go." "How can we trust that he won't kill us." "Because he showed me mercy he treated me he isn't a minster everyone says he is just give him a chance." I looked at Niklaus and he looked at me. "Niklaus swear you won't kill us." "I swear now get me out of here." "See he won't and I trust him." "Why would you trust him after what he did to you." "Because he saved my life! He should me mercy he should me that someone capable of being loved deserved to be saved and he saved me. Because I know he is capable of love and I am now trysting him with my life that he won't kill us stop this fighting stop this now and go back to our lives." The next thing I know klaus was next to me. "Thank you love." And he kissed me on the forehead. "I hear by pardon you all from me and my suffering and killing no harm shall be brought to you anymore." Everyone nodded. He started to walk out the door and turned around. "Aleah! Don't forget to visit I'm sure my siblings and Marcel would be glad to see you soon along with Hope. And you can have my house." He tosses me the keys and smiled and vanished. I looked at Stefan and everyone else.

We headed upstairs to our bedroom and I looked out the bedroom window and I felt stefan wrap his arms around me. "Why did you do that for klaus." I turned and looked at stefan. "Because even though he is a monster he shows kindness love compassion and someone capable of being loved is capable of being saved and killing him wouldn't show him mercy after he showed me mercy and saved me from a horrible death that I wouldn't survive within the next 2 hours and he knew I loved you and that you couldn't live without me he saved someone capable of love that shows he isn't a heartless, emotionless monster. He has emotions. He just tends to hide them because he knows that if he shows emotions he would loose power and from how he went through it wouldn't be hard showing him mercy because that proves you're loyal. He was testing us. He was testing if we were a threat to him or not and now that he knows we're not he won't give us any harm and that I trust and I trust him with my life and I don't trust easily and he knows not to break it because then I'll regret it and won't show him mercy as he did me." "Leah you're so amazing and beautiful. You're so wise for someone your age you show mercy to a man who shows nothing and yet you see right through him and that is a gift because you can look through their fake self and look at the real them. That's what I love about you because you saw me as a ripper and you still saw me the same old stefan who would kiss you and stop at nothing to be with you and that how come I never stopped fighting for you. And Leah I will never ever give up on you." I smiled and I kissed him if only klaus felt this love but I believe he did today. Love is a very powerful thing to where it can change you. I believe it changed him.
