So Close yet So Far

Chapter 3

Tara's P.O.V

When I opened the door to my dorm room I didn't expect to see two girls playing a pillow fight. One looked human and the other must be an angel since she had feathered wing which was color black while the top was white. They stopped when they noticed me. The one that looked human gave me a smile showing her teeth. Her canines were elongated a little. But despite that she was beautiful. She had auburn hair and her eyes were a deep ocean blue. The girl that supposedly an angel had white blonde hair and forest green eyes.

"OH hi you must be our new roommate, I'm Charlene Valerie, angel" The girl with wings said. And just I assumed she was an angel. "And my name's is Lara Cristina, werewolf, hi" the other girl said. "Hi I'm Tara Blaze, elemental" I said with a smile on my face

"Ugh, I thought our other roommate is werewolf like me but I still like you" Lara said while she was fixing her pillows. "What kind of elemental are you?" Charlene asked eagerly. "Sorry can't tell" I said while walking to the bed which supposedly was mine since there was a double deck bed and Charlene had the top bunk while Lara had the bottom. I put my stuff on top the bed and when I started unpacking I heard a knock on the door and Lara eagerly answered it and a boy our age was at the door. He was one of the friends Dominic was talking too. He had Black Hair and his eye a dark blue but unlike Charlene's it was darker. When he looked at me I saw sympathy but he covered that up easily.

"Hey there you are" he said to Lara and after that he zoned out for a few minutes and so did Lara. After that Lara looked at me with worry in her eyes but again quickly hid it and introduced the boy. "This is Jason Perez my boyfriend" she said with a huge smile in her face and I noticed that her canines weren't there. Charlene came up to me and whispered to my ear "More like Mates". "What are mates?" I asked and she told me that she will explain everything later after they left and after a few moments they left and Charlene told me everything about mates while I was unpacking my stuff. "And how do you know all this?" I asked her after she finished explaining and all she did was bow her head down hiding the blush in her cheeks. "You have one, wow" I said in disbelief and asked who her mate is. She sighed and said "Carson Evans, the future third in command of the Ringwood pack". "I've never heard of them" I said blankly.

*The next day*

I woke up to the sound of a door opening. I sat up and looked at the bathroom door where a newly dressed Lara came out. "Finally you're up time to get dressed for school" She said to me and I got out of the bed and took some clothes. I went inside the bathroom and took a quick shower and put on my clothes. When I went out of the bathroom I heard squeals from Lara and Charlene. "Oh my gosh I love your outfit" they both said in unison. I laughed at their comment and grabbed my bag where my school stuff is in and headed out. I kept walking to the room where my first class is in and I noticed that in my schedule it was all the same room. I walked into the classroom to be greeted by a blue haired boy with grey eyes.
