So Close yet So Far

Chapter 12

Dom's P.O.V

I charged at the reddish wolf, still in my wolf form, and tackled it to the ground. I stepped back and bared my fangs and glanced at Tara, she was staring at us wide eyes and her friends, I guess, were trying to get her to run. She screamed and the ground shook under my paws ad I stopped fighting and the reddish wolf took advantage of that and charged at me. It tackled me to the ground and I heard an unknown voice in my head saying "She shouldn't have seen me like this it's because of you that she's like this; it's all your fault" while the reddish wolf was snapping at me with its jaws.

Once I got the reddish wolf off me the ground already stopped shaking and Tara was on the ground, passed out. The reddish wolf quickly got to its feet and tried to go to Tara slowly and I stopped it halfway. I heard that voice in my head again and the reddish wolf was staring at me intently. The voice said "Fine, I only want to see if she's okay and I'm not an enemy, I'm a friend" and with that the reddish wolf turned the other way and ran. I guess that the voice belonged to the reddish wolf.

I walked up to where Tara was and her friends were surrounding her trying to wake her up. They backed away when they saw e coming and I stopped in my tracks. Someone mind linked me that there were other wolves trespassing the territory, the wolves were from a different pack. I glanced worriedly at Tara, who was still passed out. I ran the other direction and spotted Jason's grayish wolf and Carson's blondish with other warrior wolves from the pack, all of them were at a stance where they are ready to attack. I stopped one side was where Jason and Carson was while the other side was from different wolves I guess from a different pack. I couldn't guess what pack though because they covered their scent.

A large blonde colored wolf, probably the alpha or the alpha's son, stepped up and bared its fangs. Luckily I stopped right in front of the side where my pack is and I bared my fangs at the blonde wolf. We were about to attack each other but suddenly one of Tara's friends just appeared at the middle which made me and the blonde wolf jump back. He was carrying Tara who was still unconscious. I got angry since I was going to get Tara later and also because he was carrying Tara and my wolf was being overprotective.

My wolf took over and growled at him while he said "I appeared at the wrong time didn't I" that to the blonde wolf. I bit his leg and he screamed and dropped Tara on top of me but luckily she dropped on my back and I carried her. I mind linked the other wolves from my pack to attack the other wolves while I go take the future Luna to safety. I ran to the pack house and ran to my room, still in my wolf form. I set Tara on my bed and I heard in my mind link that Jason said that they won but the other wolves escaped but the captured the guy I bit in the leg. I shifted back into human form and went inside my bathroom and changed into some clothes. When I came out I mind linked the doctor to check up on the future Luna. "Luckily she doesn't have a coma or anything she's just passed out but I can't predict when she'll wake up" "That's okay thank you doctor". He left the room saying yes alpha and left me standing there looking over Tara worriedly waiting for her to wake up.
