(Damn my long chapter names)

31 Time is a gift. Something to be treasured and never taken for granted.

Mikey hugs me, he kisses the crook of my neck. I have to tell him, soon. "I've got a surprise for you, Mikey." He steps back, his hands resting on my hips. "Ah, what is it?" He smiles. "I'm not telling" he frowns, "until after the show."

"I can't wait." He leans in, kissing me. "I love you, Dakota." He whispers, "I love you too, Mikey. Now lets go." I push him away, playfully, then we head on stage. I like it in stadiums. It's dark, and crammed full of people. How exciting.

Gerard walks on to the stage, grinning. He says hello to the crowd, and they all reply with screams or 'woo', is that a proper answer.

Demolition Lovers is our first song.

I'm so glad that they let me in as their keyboard player. I love to play music with them, to travel. It's amazing. I love their energy on stage. There's Frank jumping around like a madman, we're lucky he hasn't killed one of us yet.

Then there's Gerard, who sings with such passion. He dances around like an idiot, and head bangs most of the time, but it's still amazing.

Mikey, I love him so much. He's so fucking adorable. He mostly just walks around a little bit, too focused on his playing to really do much.

Oh Ray, how you head bang, with your ridiculous curls bouncing all over the place. You play guitar so awesomely, it makes me sad, sad that I didn't play guitar.

And Bob. Oh Bob. Lovely Bob. You manage to keep a tempo, and I have no idea how. I really hope Frank doesn't kill you with his clumsiness, he's always close to falling into you.

We're almost done now, we've been through Demo. Lovers, I'm Not Okay, Venom, Skylines, and our one remaining song is; To The End. This is my favorite song, it's so amazing. I love playing the keyboard for it, even if it is only for a little bit.

When Gerard starts singing the chorus, I look up. One person in the crowd stands out. He is dressed in all white, and he is just standing there, staring. Moments later, something appears in his hands. Something silver flashes, it's a gun.

Its aimed at our lead singer, my brother in law, one of my closest friends, Gerard Way.

The world seems to slow down, and all I know what to do is run, I run as fast as I can, in front of Gerard. A stabbing pain hits me in my chest, followed by two more.

I'd been shot, and I'm pretty sure it was by a figment of my imagination.
