Something sparked in Luna that night. She just wanted to be normal again and honestly, if she wasn't going to be normal, she was just going to continue to hate herself. It was inevitable for her. So, she swallowed those pills and let herself slowly drift away on the cool tiles of the bathroom floor, only to be found by her father 10 minutes after she was in complete blackness.

Now, she's tucked into a hospital bed, being kept in this building for a good month or so. They tell her it's for health reasons, sure. But she knows it's because they think she's crazy. They've seen the scars on her wrist. They now see what extent she would go to.

Luna looked around the room, her eyes landing on Jay, who's been there the past three days. Everyday Luna wakes up, she'd poke Jay, ask her why she's there instead of summer school, Jay would mumble "Because," then fall back to sleep until noon.

"Jay," Luna whispered, hoping to wake only Jay up instead of the neighbor patient named Gloria. She was there for the same reason; mental break down.

That's what Tim kept saying to his buddies. "Oh, she just had a mental break down. Just like her mother." Luna just knew he was saying that. He's almost ashamed of his own daughter, laughing it off as his friends stood there awkwardly.

"Jay, wake up," Luna said a little louder, her eyes diverting to a peaceful Gloria across the room. "Jay!" She whispered with her voice tensing a bit more. She huffed as Jay just rolled over on the couch, back facing her. She searched the tables next to her to find Jay's journal and pen.

"Jay!" She said a little louder, throwing the pen at her friend's back. Jay groggily turned over to wipe her eyes. "You have classes."

"You think I care?" Jay muttered, stuffing her face in the pillow.

"I do think you care, thank you very much," Luna said with a smirk. She crossed her arms over her chest and winked at Jay.

"Whatever." Jay sat up and slipped on her Toms quickly.

"How about this? After my final class for the day, I'll come back here and we mingle around the cafeteria?" Jay asked, slinging her bag onto her shoulder. She walked over to Luna, bending over to pick up the journal and rechieve the pen that was tossed at her.

"Sounds brilliant," Luna smiled. "I hope to get out of this damned building soon, too. This way, we can go back and mingle at Sweets."

Luna has been feeling better, don't under estimate it. After her attemptive suicide, though Luna will never say that out loud, she's connected with her mother, in a strange way.

"I hope you do, too," Jay cooed, stepping over to Luna and kissing her cheek. "I'll be back at three sharp!"

With that, Jay left the room, quietly shutting the door behind her. Right out the door goes all of Luna's entertainment for the morning hours, that is until Gloria wakes up. Gloria is two years younger than Luna, but less petite.

With broad shoulders and a wide stance, Gloria could take out anyone. Luna had learned that Gloria played football, center foward, for her high school. The only thing holding her back would be her soft features and wonderful smile. Luna always thought that Gloria was just a visitor. She never came off as a "mental break down" kind of girl.

But you never should judge a book by it's cover. You should never judge a book at all.

Luna read and read. Read things like Shakespere literature, things about Da Vinci, any artist she has fancied. She read novels, spanning from drama to romance. And in the matter of a week, Luna has read a pile of books.

She rustled in her bed, hoping to sleep just a little more but it seemed impossible. Her father was on her mind.

He's visited twice since she's been in the hospital. Some reasons are work related, others are because, quite frankly, he doesn't want too. Well, that's what Luna thinks anyways. Luna figured he didn't want to see her the same way he used to visit her mother.
