Luna woke up, sun blinding her sight as it shone through the window. She quickly got up and went to the bathroom, suddenly feeling this immense sick feeling. Practically running, she pushed open the bathroom door and emptied whatever contents she had into the toilet.
"Fuck," Luna mumbled to herself.
There was a knock at the door so she quickly collected herself, wiping any signs of her episode with a towel and taking a sip of the chilled water from the sink. She walked over to the door and pulled it open, only to be met with a smiling Louis.
"Mornin', sunshine!" He chirped, leaning in to kiss Luna. Instead of allowing his lips to meet hers, Luna turned her head. She didn't want him tasting anything. That would be disgusting and revealing.
"Are you alright, Lun? Did I-" Louis began, walking passed the ashamed Luna.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just haven't brushed my teeth yet s'all," Luna said, using the lame excuse.
Louis figured it was just an excuse and looked into the bathroom, seeing the tousled throw rug in front of the toilet, the lifted seat, and the towel laying next to the toilet. It wasn't necessarily obvious, but with Luna, Louis almost immediately knew.
"Did you get sick?" Lou thumbed towards the bathroom, his eyes glued onto Luna. When she didn't answer, Louis stepped towards her and placed his hands on his girlfriend's cheeks. "Luna, tell me."
Luna simply nodded her head once and dodged Louis' worried eyes. She felt his thumbs rub her cheekbones, trying to get her attention. She looked up and stared at Louis.
"Luna, please tell me when you get sick. I want to help you." Louis kissed Luna's forehead.
"Right," Luna whispered. She walked towards the bathroom to brush her teeth and get the disgusting taste of bile from her mouth. Louis just stood in the middle of her bedroom, his head hanging.
"Why did you puke, Lun?" Louis asked, scratching the side of his face. There was a slight scraping sound due to the stubble he has growing. That noise would sometimes bother others, but it didn't bug Luna one bit. She found it strangely comforting.
"Not sure." Luna tossed her toothbrush into the small blue cup set next to the sink and looked at her teeth in the mirror, seeing the white, almost yellowing, color to them. She picked up the mouth wash and swished a cap full before spitting it out into the sink and running the water.
"Are you getting sick again?"
Luna shrugged a shoulder and walked towards Louis. Louis' straight face faultered, his lips almost forming a frown. "Don't worry, Lou. I have a doctor's appointment soon."
"Good," Louis cooed, his smile reappearing. "Can I kiss you now?"
Luna nodded and met Louis half way, their lips touching softly. "Good news for me," Luna said with a small smile.
"What's that?" Louis grabbed onto Luna's hand as they walked out of Luna's room and towards the kitchen for breakfast. When they passed some more "mental" patients, he dropped Luna's hand and laid his on the small of her back.
"It's my last group session today, meaning I'm one step closer to getting out of here!" Luna cheered. Louis grinned and kissed Luna's temple, that being his congratulations.
"What do you want?" Louis asked.
"Tea," Luna informed him. Louis cocked his head, asking if that was all. "I'm not very hungry, Lou."
"Fine. Go find a seat."
Luna followed his orders and found a small table that seemed to be in a new place. She hasn't spent much time down here. She hasn't liked to leave her room since the night at the pond.
