"It's only a matter of time, Luna," Dr. Peters informed her with a frown. "I can't allow much more movement and the amount of people in here at once must be limited."

"They're the only people I have left, Dr. Peters. You can't stop them from seeing me," Luna laughed angrily.

It's been a few days and it's only getting worse. The amount of strength left in her body limited her to just lifting herself up and reaching for whoever was next to her.

"I understand. We just can't risk anything," Dr. Peters said with a stern look.

"Risk what? My life? It's already ending," Luna said with an angry look. Everytime the nurses would deny Louis, Jay, or Luna's dad access to come to her room, she'd throw the "you can't risk my life when I'm already dying" bit and they'd be sitting beside her in the next minute.

"Luna, this is serious," Dr. Peters snapped, trying his best to keep his composure whilst talking to the stubborn girl.

"Dr. Peters, they're all I have. At least give me this day." Luna finally let herself feel defeated, but not without one last say. She was hoping that it would cause Dr. Peters to rethink and allow Luna's family to come, but there wasn't much hope.

"Fine, for today," Dr. Peters mumbled as he exited the room.

The door slammed shut, only to be opened by Louis moments later. He was alone, which was somewhat strange but not unusual. He didn't say anything, just planted a kiss on Luna's forehead and sat beside her.

"Talk, Lou," Luna pleaded.

Louis sighed and squeezed Luna's hand in his. "What do you want me to say?"

"Anything," the weak girl whimpered. "Tell me a story."

Louis has been a wreck, in easy terms. He's had numerous sleepless nights, headaches, pains in his chest. Even the thoughts that sent him in that damned mental hospital were reappearing. He wouldn't tell anyone, knowing that it would only be a burden. He kept all of those "issues" instead of sharing them. Though, he knows for a fact, that if Luna were to somehow find out about any of the things he has wrong, she'd sit in her bed and repeatedly try to make Louis better, even while she was dying.

Louis nodded at Luna's request and cleared his throat, trying to think about what story to tell about. Eventually, he smiled at Luna and began.

"Once upon a time, there was this girl who didn't believe she was a princess. She could sing like the angels and paint the heavens. One day, a towns-boy came up to her door, but she was too shy to allow him in for tea with the king and herself. This boy thought she'd never give him a glance, but she did," Louis said softly, a smile gracing his lips.

"The king allowed him in, meaning the princess had to talk to him. The towns-boy wasn't the nicest of the boys, but he was the one who cherished the princess the most." Louis leaned down and kissed the back of Luna's hand before continueing. "On one grey day, the princess told everyone she was very sick. Her father had her bed-ridden, trying to keep her as healthy as he could. She was so sick, in fact, no one dared to go near her, except for the towns-boy, who secretly loved her more than himself."

Louis tried his best to smile, knowing that the ending he was about to give this story wasn't going to be the ending his and Luna's gets.

"After weeks of the princess being incredibly sick, one day she sat up in bed and said that she felt better. And she did. The princess recovered and was back to her perfect self, except she had one more thing added to her life; the towns-boy."

Luna tried to clap and smiled at Louis. "Thank you, Lou."

"Anything for my princess," Louis whispered and kissed Luna's cheek, leaving his lips to linger a bit.
