My feet were careful crossing over the rocks. Luke thought it'd be best to follow down stream giving us a better chance to find the others, as if we were to go back and follow our previous steps he didn't want to risk getting 'hurt' again. I wouldn't have mind going back through there but we couldn't even remember where it was because it covered the whole side of the river and looked the same.

"Do you think the others would notice we aren't back yet?" Luke asked with his hands out by his side stabilising his balance.

"It's only been been like, twenty five minutes I think, they should be nearing the end soon so we have some time." I said following his actions.

I don't think Mr. Carter would be worried if we weren't back in time, sure he'd be slightly worried but he knows we're old enough to not be silly enough to run away. I'm sure the boys would come searching for us anyways.

"Shit!" I laughed as my left ankle slipped from the rock and into the cold water. I felt a pop in my knee making me squeal, my knee locking in one position.

"Do you ever stop hurting yourself?" Luke cracked up, grabbing onto my waist for support. I felt his fingers on my skin making goosebumps rise. I quickly re-stabled myself taking hold of Luke's hand. It was soft, feeling the creases of each pattern in his palm.

I lowered my leg gently to the rocks, not caring about the water as I was already half drenched and so was Luke. Continuing to limp downstream we made it to a clearing just above a small bank. Luke deciding it'd be best to go up first so he could give me a hand up.

"Okay later," he said blankly turning around and starting to walk off. I gaped at him blankly before he spun around laughing again. "Just kidding," he winked.

He reached out his hand, taking grip of it he pulled me up as I used my good leg to help bring myself up.

"I swear if you hurt yourself again-" he was saying in mid-sentence before his body was thrown over into a pile of mud. I stood there shocked but then fell into a fit of laughter. He stood up, dirt covering some of his sharp jaw and t-shirt, holding his right knee in agony. "Oh my fu- Holy shit!" He jumped around squeezing his eyes shut while I tried my best to keep the tears from spilling from my eyes.

I saw the blood start to escape through his fingers covering his knee. I ran forward trying not to laugh, I know, I'm a bad person. Leaning down I went to examine it, "you're such a dick you know that right?"

Just as I said that we heard shouts and laughter coming closer to us, our names being shouted. I saw Michael, Ashton and Calum all running towards us covered in mud from head to toe. "Sorry are we interrupting something?" Ashton called with a cheesy grin. I rolled my eyes lifting my hand to signal them over here.

"No thanks B I don't think I'll join in on this," Calum yelled back, so I just raised my middle finger to him looking at Luke's knee. It was split open and I wanted to vomit just at the sight of it.

"Luke's cut his knee open," I shouted, Luke silently wincing. "We have to get you back quick or this thing will get infected," I stared at him his eyes looking almost worried.

By now the boys were all circling around us, there faces squirming from the cut. "Damn you guys look like you've been to war," Michael chuckled.

"Can one of you's please rip some fabric from your shirts?" I would do myself but if I did anymore more would be revealed.

Cal pulled at his navy shirt ripping the thin fabric handing it to me. I wrapped it tightly around Luke's knee which ended up in him yelling in pain making me feel bad. Ash and Michael reached down taking Luke in their arms carrying him out. I gently stood up, hopping on one leg following close behind them.
